I still think it's a tease.
She's a grown woman, she doesn't have to bend to every demand her fans throw at her. We'd live if she didn't post the leaked version. And I think everyone would have been happier in the end (including herself).

Now THAT I understand. It's all just an unfortunate occurrence. A rough portion of the book got leaked... she got pressured into revealing that publicly... and now with everyone already critiquing it, it definitely would be depressing and difficult to continue.

But hopefully she will just ignore all of that and continue writing. I really am afraid though. She said things like... she's not up to finishing it... she wrote it on a whim...
It just makes me think that if she thought of it so easily, she could drop it as easily. I just want her to get it done so I can read it :) idc how long

I thought the same way as you do, Jesi. Until I got the facts. Actually, she only posted the first chapter in the beginning. She was still in the process of writing it (she was half-way through) when her notebook was stolen and all of what she had written (not just the released chapter) was posted on to the Internet . She was so stunned she had a hard time getting back and finishing the book, so she decided to take a vacation from it.

Then, people kept urging her to post what the leaker already had. She actually posted the same leaked remnants of it per the fans request. Even though she would rather not show it at it's rawest stage. So, instead of calling an author—who released something she'd rather not have out-there in the first place—a "tease", maybe you should consider the idea that she did it for us.

Also, she said in an interview, she got over the leak a few weeks after it happened. The only reason she hasn't been able to finish it is because everyone is giving her input. It's difficult to try creating something when millions of fans are hovering over her shoulder. I know I can't write anything when I feel like my door is open to opinions.

She needs to get over herself. What a tease! She threw an excellent book in our faces to suddenly pull it away because she's too much of a baby and can't handle that someone gave out her "embarrassing" unedited version of her book. It's been done before. Nobody really cared about the edit of it, it wasn't published, it was a leaked book. That's what we expected!

So don't put it up on your site not even half finished just to say that this is the most we are going to get!

I know Jacob wouldn't die, but not making books? come on then her fans are gonna hate her.

No one even knows if she's going to continue the Twilight Series--She hasn't been contracted for any more of the books--let alone if another would be about Jacob, and him dying.

She has a good heart and that's shown in parts of the series but she can be a you know what

I kind of found it odd, how Stephenie brought Rosalie into that direction with Eclipse, an then goes back on it. You know? Like, you see that Rosalie isn't selfish, and she wishes Bella would appreciate her humanity. Then all of the sudden in BD, Edward agrees she couldn't care less if Bella was hurt.

And then MS came out and she has a "shallow pool of thoughts" "catching her reflection in a spoon". Well, which one is it?

good family...

then...
she has a simple dream ...
to grow old w/ a person he love...
and have grand kids...

but all of these were taken away from her...

Stephenie knows which draft was leaked (there were several) and she knows who she gave it to, but she said there was no "malicious intent" so they're still good. :/

She doesn't want to hear about it (I assume) because it was leaked, and just talking about it gives her bad feelings.

Well, for starters, she's not finishing the book in two years. She said in an interview that she was so tired of fans talking about Midnight Sun, that she was definitely not going to get back to work on it until two years after people stopped talking about it.

Since that's physically impossible, a member from a Twilight fansite suggested that we, instead, give it a secret nickname ("Dark High Noon") so Stephenie doesn't have to hear us talk about it.
