Since watching the first series I've been counting down the days until the second one starts. Is anyone else thrilled to have it back on our screens tonight? i can't wait to see what happens. If you've read the books, or have already seen the first episode of the second series in the US no spoilers please.

I'm actually enjoying the tv series more than the comics. I feel like a few of the characters are fleshed out a bit more, and the pacing is a little faster.

Not for me. I was bored by the characters in the show. I didn't even watch the series finale because I missed it when it first came on, and then I realized I didn't even care that I missed it. I had no investment in the characters.

I've been loving both. They really compliment each other, and you can tell that Robert Kirkman has been writing each with the viewer/reader in mind, while trying to stay attractive for those who will only stick to one medium to enjoy them in. Unfair? Perhaps, but I can't blame him, and since I do use both, I feel as though I'm getting extra stuff. It's true, he does tend to flesh the people out more in the show than the comic, but his development takes forever in the comic, whereas his time is compressed greatly in the show. Be patient with the comic, and be understanding of the large % of the process he simply can't control ideally in the show.

I have enjoyed the comic a lot and like the tv-series so far. But thought the first season was a bit better due to the pasing. This second season is progressing as slow as can be. I hope they'll move on from Hershel's farm when the second season continues.
Some of the characters are indeed fleshed out a little better (agreed) but on the other hand there are a lot of 'whiners' and it is veering of towards being a soap opera more often then not.

I couldn't agree with you more! I really hope they pick it up; it would also be nice to see some 'Walking Dead' in the Walking Dead TV series.
