Catching Fire

2009

We used to be on the idea of "Catching Fire," due out September 2009. But since her editor took that out of her site, I'm not sure anymore...

It's still Fall 2009. Title, I am uncertain, but you can guess with Catching Fire....

lol, same. It is an excellent book...but her first series was better. My opinion.

Where did people hear that the 2nd book would be called catching fire? I can't wait for this to come out! I'm so curious as to what angle it will take. Will it be the next step or perhaps the same as the first book but from Gale and their families perspectives? I really tried to analyze the name to get a sense. In the hunger games "fire" was supposed to be symbolic of Katniss so "catching fire" could imply a lot of possible outcomes. Anyone have any ideas? All I know is that the love triangle needs to develop!

I went to a book signing yesterday that Suzanne Collins was at. I asked her a question about the next book and she said she's been sworn to secrecy about EVERYTHING regarding future books, including titles. She did, however, assure me that the 3rd draft was turned in to her editor just a few days ago and is hopefully moving into the copyediting stage and will be released next September.

I bet that Catching Fire, or whatever it is going to be called, is going to be about Katniss and Peeta having to pretend to be in a relationship to save their own skin, but somehow someone finds out it's not as strong as they claim it to be and so Katniss and Peeta have to go on the run from the Capital. And then the thrid and final book, whenever that's going to come out, will be about the rebellion against the capital, hopefully lead by Katniss and Peeta. Maybe they try to stop the next hunger games and make the next group refuse to fight and kill each other. Just guessing :)

Not sure if this was already posted, but I think there will be some kind of war between District 12 and the Capitol. Maybe Katniss will fall in love with Peeta, but i also want to know what Gale thinks!!!!
Maybe, Prim will get chosen again...if thats possible.

Isnt the the new book coming out september 1st 2009? well those people that won the scholastic conest get to have the book earlier then everyone else also the people that go to this convention center for books and only a certain amount of people get to have the book
