I liked this book. It was well-written and well-paced, and the mystery was good. Lots of good suspects with valid reasons for killing. Toward the end of the book, I was pretty sure who the killer was, but that's a hazard of being a mystery author. I also liked that there wasn't too much "theme" (knitting) fluff. I am weary, however, of the sleuth/policeman romance angle that is so prevalent in amateur sleuth/cozy mysteries (not in my books, but in most). Kruger handled it well, though, and I like how she used the cop to explain the knitting stuff in a natural way.
All in all, a good book, and I would read another by this author.

I agree & I need to, too! I have it sitting, waiting as well but so much to read (and knit) and so little time....

Hi, I'm a little late to the game...is there a book for October, or are y'all extending the September book to October? If this discussion will continue, I'll go ahead and read Died in the Wool. Otherwise, I'll to go ahead and get started on the next book. Let me know the best way to join the conversation!
Hey Joanne:I've been heading this up, but hardly anyone read or responded to September's read, so I figured there wasn't any interest.
I'll try again with an October read and see how it does.
Oh, gosh, I can't believe Sept. is gone. I did read this book and then promptly forgot all about it. Moving on to October, now. ;-)
Reading it now and am almost finished... It's good! When I finish, I'm going to read the other one in the series..
I just joined the group and read this selection very quickly. The only version I could find was a LARGE PRINT edition. I think when I read books in large print, it changes the mood or tone of the book. I never like books that I've read in this typeface! I thought this ended abruptly, and was OK up until the end. Not my favorite, that's for sure. Can't wait to start the next book!
