•September Mix and Match Monthly Challenge• (build your own challenge)
Duration: 9.01.11 - 9.30.11

♥Jennifer and I have been working on a new Monthly Challenge (you can thank Jen for a lot of this!) and I think your going to like it! The best part is, you get to build your own challenge!!! So if you only want to read one book for the month, that's fine, and if you want to read a book for every day in September that's fine too! Also you get to choose what Categories you want to use. You can pick what you want from where you want☺ I will post the Rules and Catergories very soon so you can start your list!

description Rules and Instructions!

Getting Started
♦Create your own challenge from the below categories and topics! To do that follow these steps....

description Choose the number of books you want to read for the month, starting as low as 1 book for the month up to however many you can fit in.
description Read through the below categories and topics and find the ones that you want to use to create your challenge.
description Based on the topics you chose, select your books that will fit with each choice. You can select some from each category or all of your selections can be from one category, it does not matter, it is your challenge! (These can be added later)

Some Basic Rules
description You may change or add to your list at anytime. You may also change the level of difficulty at anytime.
description Books may be re-reads but you can only read them during the Month of September.
description Please post the cover of the book if your category choice has something to do with the cover.
description Only books read in September can be counted for this challenge.
description You may use books from other challenges (so if you are doing Hero, Susanomics, etc... you can use any of the books you are using for those challenges)

Please Remember To...
description When you finish a book please strike it out, or add a check mark, Post the date that you finished it, and rate it 1-5, 1♥ being you didn’t care for it, 5 ♥’s being you Loved IT!
description Update Original List, and add occasional updates in the challenge thread. In your original list and updates make sure to add books completed example: 4/10 Completed

Cindy, Glad you joined!

Hannah, listopia is a tool to use! If you feel overwhelmed getting your list going, just pick one or two books you KNOW you want to read next month. Then go through the categories and see where it fits! Then as the month goes on and you read something, see if it fits into your challenge. As you do it, it will get easier! And if you want help getting started post a couple of books that your thinking about reading in September, and Jen and I (and I'm sure the other ladies too) can help you figure out some categories☺

Tegan Mae (visi0ngirl) | 576 comments Here are my recommendations for you Shell! :)

1st - From My Favorites Shelf: Petty Magic: Being the Memoirs and Confessions of Miss Evelyn Harbinger, Temptress and Troublemaker by Camille DeAngelis

I love this book, it's hilarious and well written and something completely new, if you don't read it this time, please do another time! :) I have to put up a review for it soon.

2nd - From Your TBR List: Soulless by Gail Carriger

I love this series. I (personally) had a little trouble with the first one, but you know how first books are, but I absolutely loved the ones after and I'm probably going to go back and read the first one again, since it's been awhile. Definitely a series to read!! Wrote a review for this one.

3rd - Book From My Previous Challenges: Poison Study by Maria V. Snyder

Really fun books! I've only read the first one (this one) in the series so far, but I couldn't put it down! I wrote a review about it, so you can check that out :)

Tegan's Recommendations

1st - From My Favorites Shelf:The Warlord Wants ForeverorA Hunger Like No Other (Immortals After Dark)by Kresley Cole.
•I chose both because the first is a novella, and a lot of people start with Hunger Like No Other. This is by far one of my favorite series, and I think you would love it! The Hero's in this book are to die for, and the women are just as entertaining☺ (this is one of those series that the first book, HLNO, is not the best in the series, but you have to start somewhere!

2nd - From Your TBR List:The Darkest Night (#1Lords of the Under World)by Gena Showalter
•I know you have been thinking of reading Gena Showalter for a while now, so I picked her most popular series. Her Alien Huntress series is just as good IMO, but this one seems to be just a bit more well liked.

3rd - Book From My Previous Challenges:Bossypants by Tina Fey
•I suggest you listen to the audio on this if it's possible, but I bet the book would be just as good! This book is one of the funniest books ever☺ I recommend everyone read/listen to this book at sometime. I had added for a challenge to make myself read it, and I was so glad I did!

The Warlord Wants Forever by Kresley Cole A Hunger Like No Other (Immortals After Dark, #2) by Kresley Cole The Darkest Night (Lords of the Underworld, #1) by Gena Showalter Bossypants by Tina Fey

Happy Picking! Hope there is something you are interested in☺

Tegan Mae (visi0ngirl) | 576 comments Yay!! Glad you added them all, you'll have to let me know what you think of Soulless and we can discuss! :)

You made it impossible too! Ahh! haha.

I think I'm going to go with The Darkest Night :) I'm planning on reading Kresley Cole's for my WLSM Hero Challenge, so I'll get to those asap. I'm glad you loved Tina Fey's book! I can't wait to read it! I'll probably listen to it instead, she's hilarious.

This was fun! We should do swaps more! haha.

Hannah, don't stress! First of all, it's okay to take your time, your don't have to have your list ready. In fact that leads me to the second thing...maybe just read what you read, and then see if it' fits with any of the categories. Also if you want, tell me a couple of books that you were thinking about reading them month, and I'll help you with the list. And our September Group Reads will prob. fit in a couple of the categories too (Only Yours is one of the group reads, and we will no the second one by tomorrow!. And I hope your headache goes away!:(
