I just joined the group. Hi. I'm fascinated with all things Singularity so I thought I'd better get over here and see what everone has to say about post humanism.


In case anyone is interested in non-fiction, Daniel Dinello has a great book that I've just started to read: Technophobia! Science Fiction Visions of Posthuman Technology.

He charts our culture's reaction to futuristic technology starting with Frankenstein up to the present of 2005 when the book was published. He uses mostly movies in his analysis but cites the literature as well. I'm finding it fascinating reading.

I'm planning on blogging about the book and some of his conclusions at my Singularity Watch blog later this week if anybody's interested. (http://scusteister.livejournal.com/ ) Come by any time as I've usually got something to comment on.
