In the bible story the prodigal son. There once lived a rich king with two sons and it was almosted like he had a favorite son who never did anything for his self but live off of daddy. So why the other son do everything his father ask and say thankyou and no thank you.So one day the prodigal son and his friend where talking about going to see more of the world so the friend convined him to get some money from his father and they split 50/50.So he convined his father to give him some moneynthe father respected his son wishes and off the son went.So the son is out there blowing up all of his money while his friend just sitting back watching. Then the son relized that he is broke soon as he asked his friend for a small loan he said his peace and went on bout his bussiness. So now hes out there looking for work so he can eat so theres this pig man looking for workers at the same time the needs a job.THE Thing about is that the son is jewish and they dont deal with swine but he need work after a day of work he relized that why am i living like pig when i got it good at home.Sohe gos back home to daddy and his father exspected him and they had a big feast for the prodigal son

This book is very interesting in that it examines the characters in Rembrandt's beautiful painting of "The Return of the Prodigal Son." For those familiar with the story it offers a chance to reflect on not just the prodigal son but the other characters in the story.

This is one of my favorite books ever. Love how reader is able to reflect on how one's life reflects that of each main character at different stages of life. From sowing our wild oats and rebelling as the prodigal, to coming to a stage of jealousy when we see those who do evil being rewarded while the good suffer (sometimes we feel holier than thou) and then, hopefully, we can all reach the unconditional love of the father (trying to be like God our Father).
