On the morning of February 14th, 2011, Cupid's Academy opened its doors to a select group of family and friends. Available exclusively as an e-book, the humorous tale of a teenage god unlucky in love was embraced by readers young and old. That's why I wanted to tell you how much the support you've given thus far means to me. In my mind, your positive reception of this self-published novel from a relatively obscure author from Brooklyn has opened up a vista of opportunities: such as a screenplay for a 3-D animated film.
The pursuit of my dreams aside, I reminded myself of something important: A writer is nothing without a reader. Without readers like you, Harry wouldn't be the world's most famous wizard; Bella's commitment to Edward wouldn't have created such a scandal; and Narnia would have only been a place in some British author's mind.
Yet, whatever books have moved you to laughter, tears, or both, what is clear is that it takes writer and reader working together to make stories memorable. These stories continue to enliven our hearts with your support, feedback, and word-of-mouth. But for Cupid's Academy, our journey has just begun.
If you haven't already, please take a moment and be the first to tell your friends what you think of CA using the links below. Because there's no limit to what we can do together this writer thanks you for being a reader.
Hoping Cupid's arrow finds you,
