It's a challenge, but a worthwhile one! Not having fireballs to throw around, or firebreathing dragons, makes me concentrate on the story I'm telling... What's your take on writing in the Splintered Lands?

First off, that I need to do more of it. But that's rather a given, isn't it?

I enjoy it, because I get to play around with technology in a way that isn't all that common to fantasy stories. It's also nice to see magic crippled, and not the overarching centrepiece it so often is.

I've got a few ideas for more stories in SL, it's just a matter of getting things done, and of getting co-authors (*cough* LISA *cough*) to finish things up as well.

Mhairi Simpson (mhairisimpson) | 3 comments L.M. The Mystery Writer, she's called the Hidden Paw.
For she's the paralegal that can defy the Law.
She's the bafflement of writers everywhere,
The lazy author's despair.
For no matter where you check on the internet,
L.M. is everywhere!
