Jenn, I got it in the mail yesterday! Do you want to borrow it after I finish reading it? I mean, if you're interested. :)
Thanks for the offer! You are so great!
I want to hear what you thought of it first. I don't know if you remember but I did not just love the first one because it was harsh but I am thinking now that I know what to expect from his writing that I would like to continue the story.
I completely agree - the first one was harsh but there was enough to the characters, etc. that I still want to read book 2!
Has anyone in here read Let The Right One In yet? Supposed to be a vampire novel for the more serious set (as in, no sparkling).
I did try and I did fail. ;_; It's not sparkly at all. Definitely more in the horror genre (though nowhere near The Strain). Gena read it in a few days and absolutely loved it. She said you find out a TON more info on Eli and exactly what she is (well, how vampires are different from other vamp books anyway).I did like the movie. Does that help? ^o^
*lol* I guess it sounds good if you're not me. :D I like my sparkly happy endings. Not that I refuse to read anything else, but I doubt I'd pick it up and go "ohhh, yay!" :D But I hope that you enjoy it!
I think I'm going to borrow Let the Right One In and give it a shot.
Has anyone seen the book Incarceron by Catherine Fisher?
It sounds like a Mix of The Forest Of Hands and teeth ,Hunger Games & Catching Fire.
I have not seen the book, but thanks for the suggestion! Looks like it's a UK book that is being reissued in the States in Jan '10?
