Hi Jacqueline, you might give these a try--here are some of my favorites. I'm linking the first book in each series below. For vampires:

For faeries:

For angels:

For witches/demons/general paranormal etc:

Vampire Academy is particularly good, it has a very strong heroine, lots of humor, good action sequences, and very cute guys. ;) But age-appropriate. The Hex Hall series is HILARIOUS.
Also the
series might be something for her.
There is also the mortal instruments wich is similar to what she seem to like.
is the first book
Other books she might like is the study series, abit diffrent and its not set in our world
Then there is also
wich took me by surprise. Didnt belive all the hype around it before I read it. Again abit diffrent that what she already have read, but really good books, and they are making it into a movie now.

Thanks guys! I have a couple of those already and others have caught my eye so I think I'll go ahead and get more books! : )
I have a pretty long list to add however I have attempted make the post twice and my browser has done something wonky and I lost it both times. So when I am less irate I will reattempt posting!
Not sure if this is excatly what you are looking for but I really enjoyed this series in high school
It was cool. She came last year or the year before for Tithe and another book, not White Cat though.
I just finished the series by Julie Kagwa that was great. The Iron King is the first book. Great love triangle and no werewolves. The hourglass door trilogy by Lisa Mangum also has a great love story.Matched by Alley Condie. The Need Series by Carrie Jones but there are shape-shifters. Wondrous Strange by Lesly Linvingstone. Lament: The Faerie Queen's Deception (Gathering of Faerie)
by Maggie Stiefvater. That should keep her busy for a while. My 13 year old doesn't like to read but she finished the Hunger Games books after I read her the first couple chapters of the first book. They are amazing! The host by Stephanie Myer is also really good and 2 more of that series is coming soon!
Harry Potter is what really got me into reading more, so you could always try that. Granted it's not the same as the other books she's read, but it could definitely be something to introduce to her once she's got more into reading.
are also good series, although The Lost Hero is a sequel series to Percy Jackson so make sure she's into The Lightning Thief first xD.
I really get the feeling I am not suppose to post here simply because I had a completed post, went to click post...and again it was deleted and I couldn't save it... cruel cruel browser. So I am just going to make a list without many comments :P Some on my list will be repeats, and some will be things that may pique her interest. Some are love it or hate it books. But I will say this, the order that I recommend the Mortal Instruments/Infernal Devices series to be read is as follows: City of Bones, City of Ashes, City of Glass, Clockwork Angel, City of Fallen Angels. You don't HAVE to but, you have a better understanding of things in City of Fallen Angels if you read Clockwork Angel first.
I just finished Hereafter by Tara Hudson and it was really good. If she liked Twilight, she'll enjoy it. It comes out next month. She would also probably like The Mortal Instruments and The Infernal Devices series by Cassandra Clare. You could also check out Nightshade by Andrea Cremer. It was really, REALLY good. I reviewed it on my blog if you want to check it out (http://yalitwit.blogspot.com).
Ottilie wrote: "What school do you go to that all these authors go tto if you don't mind me asking?!"I work in a public high school and the school library brings in authors for book signings for the students during the day, The staff can purchase the books for $10(hardcover) and get it signed by the author.
There are like 5 or 6 author days a year. We have had Maggie Stiefiver too. (Author of .Shiver and Linger). We had Julie Labastier, (Scoot Westerfield's wife) author of Liar and How To Kill Your Fairy. We had Neal Shesterman, Author of Unwind. We had the authors of Beautiful Creatures. SO I got some autographed books of Liar and Beautiful Creatures. Maybe another book but don't remember what that was.
I second a lot of these but especially The Hunger Games, Vampire Academy, and The Mortal Instruments series also, anything by Maggie Stiefvater. You might even try books by Sarah Dessen. They are a different genre but really good none-the-less.
How about?Prophecy of the Sisters by Michelle Zink
Haunted by Barbara Haworth-Attard
The Body Finder by Kimberly Derting

If you are looking for authors to come to your school and don't have a budget for it, the Vroman's bookstore offers author visits for free if you are will to per-sell their books. The author will sign them at the time of your visit. I get two authors a year for our school and coordinate them with open house and back to school night.I think you all have hit almost all the paranormal books I can think of. I don't think I saw the Wicked Lovely series Wicked Lovely posted yet so I will add that. enjoy...
If your daughter likes books full of mythical creatures, including faeries, centaurs, demons, satyrs, dryads and a strong but young female heroine, I'd suggest:Fablehaven: The Complete Series Boxed Set
If she tends to like bardic poetry/magery and again, a young but strong female heroine, I'd suggest:
The Naming The Riddle The Crow The Singing
I'm twenty-four and those two series are a few of my latest favourites. There aren't any vampires, but there are plenty of dark moments that I think she'd really like, plus the language is engaging and flowing, making it easier for those who have only discovered the wide world of literature.
I reccomend:The Gemma Doyle Trilogy by Libba Bray
Percy Jackson and the Olympians by Rick Riordan
The Kane Chronicles by Rick Riordan
The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare
The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare

So, after all that rambling can anybody recommend similar titles? She doesn't like anything with werewolves, pretty adamant about that. I need books that are quite similar as she is still a bit of a reluctant reader when it comes to trying something new.
