I actually just saw some hot cross buns at the local Harris Teeter last night. I thought it was odd, as I'd never seen them outside the Ren Faire.

My neighbor used to bring us a batch of Hot Cross Buns on Good Friday.

I like hot cross buns. They're honey topped, right?

Cynthia | 6714 comments Jane's were glazed on top with a bit of honey and contained candied ginger and other fruitcake-like candied fruits. Mostly like bread/buns, with a cross of icing on top.

Amelia In England it was raisins, if I remember correctly. I used to order them for the husband, but never ate them (I hate raisins).

Perhaps they were sultanas. Or maybe currants.

I had BBQ steak and shrimp with caesar salad for dinner.
... and now I'm enjoying a decaf with hazlenut creamer.

I didn't think you liked yoghurt . Or is it only when served with cereal?

Lobstergirl | 21710 comments I'm not crazy about it. (And just the thought of yogurt on cereal is DISGUSTING to me.) But I feel like I should make sure I'm being populated with active bacterial cultures. I also have been caught several times recently without snacks in the house, and it's disturbing. Sometimes you just need to snack on something quick.

I hate, Hate, HATE yogurt! I know it's good for you, I wish I liked it. But, it makes me physically gag. Doesn't matter what brand or flavor. I don't even like frozen yogurt...and, FYI frozen yogurt is NOT "ice cream". Just so you liars out there know, I can tell the difference.

Scout (goodreadscomscout) | 2520 comments Follow-up on the liver. I liked it the last time I had it - several years ago - but I've realized, after considering eating the leftovers, that it's not something I want to eat again. Ever.

Ever had a change of heart like this about something you used to like?

message 1439: by Phil (new)

Phil | 11390 comments Popcorn.

Lobstergirl | 21710 comments I don't eat a lot of popcorn anymore either. I used to eat it often. It's not that I don't like it anymore, I think it's more that I get tired of having it stuck in my teeth.

Lindsey | 16 comments Popcorn too! Unless you count sugar-free gum :-)

Lobstergirl | 21710 comments It's been so long since I had liver I don't even remember what it tastes like. But I should be eating it. I need the iron.

Phil | 11390 comments Did J9 put enough "na"s in her bananananananana?

Félix (habitseven) You can't have too many "na"s.

But apple spread and spinach is not an appetizing combination.

Janice (JaMaSc) Phil wrote: "Did J9 put enough "na"s in her bananananananana?"

Na-na-na na. Na-na-na na. Hey hey hey. Good-bye.

If I get that song stuck in my head, Phil had better find the ficus in a hurry.

Lindsey | 16 comments Cherry Airhead

Lobstergirl | 21710 comments Jerk chicken.
