543625 Has anyone ever heard of this magazine (Nutrition Action Healthletter)? I'm thinking about subscribing.

Anyone?

1328307 I got a sample of it once, but didn't end up getting a subscription. It was informative, but I think at the time I thought it wasn't enough new information for me for the cost. It gives a lot of information about how bad certain foods are that you may not think are bad, but mainly processed foods, things like that, that I know are all not the best things to eat anyway. But it does give information about the nutrition of good-for-you foods, and new products information. If you decide to get it you'll have to pass along the best tips!

543625 Thanks, Michelle. I'm trying to figure out if it's going to be a lot of helpful information, or more along the alarmist line...

And yes, if I do get it, I'll pass along any good tips. Two books that I've read recently that seem to cover this type of info are Eat This Not That! for Kids: Raise a Lean, Health, Happy Child! and Eat This Not That: Thousands of Simple Food Swaps That Can Save You 10, 20, 30 Pounds-or More!

Both are interesting, but like you said - a lot of it is common-sense, but I have to admit I learned from both. They're definitely worth flipping through at the bookstore or checking out from the library.
