2722926 Hi Catherine.

I am fairly new to posting as well, and seems like you did it right to me! Thank you for the input. It will be my next series to read right after the Dark-Hunter books (or as soon as I get tired of reading them and want a change! LoL)

Thought I'd but in and give my 1 cent. (1 cent is all I have left to give! heheh!)

I loved her Breed Series!! I have them all. I highly recommend them.

This is my first time posting so tell me if I'm doing it wrong. I wasn't sure which "Reply" to hit.

Catherine

1113032 The editing was bad, and in places I couldn't tell if the "wrong name" thing was intentional or accidental. The same thing with Bengal's Heart, though. Things were just not clear in many places. I read that during the writing of these 2 books she was also going through a divorce.

I hope things in her personal life get better for her, but you're right... she's an awesome writer, one of my favorites, so I will keep reading and hope her strories get back to the high quality they have always been in the past.

2302154 I heard that in Heat Seeker the editing is bad and that she calls a character by the wrong name frequently in the book. I will still probably read it as she's one of my favorites. (hey we all have bad days right?)

2722926 Paranormal Romance

message 86: by Parinya (new)

Nophoto-f-25x33 Hi. It may sound stupid but what is PNR?

message 85: by Laura (new)

2722926 Thanks! I bookmarked it. I'll start reading them after the "Dark Hunter" books. Not sure how many of the "Dark Hunter" series I'll read, so far I'm only on book 2.

1113032 You're very welcome. This series was published under different publishing companies, so you will see different books listed as book 1, etc. I'll see if I can find my REAL reading order list and post it here for you. I can't do it until later today though...

OK, here it is,....

It's on the right.

2722926 Oh, so she writes in a few different genere's, but all have hot sex in them. Got it!

Since I really like PNR, I think I will start with her Breeds series then!

Thank you so much!!

1113032 It really depends on what you like.... Her Tempting SEALS and Elite OPS series are good, the Tempting SEALS should be read first. Those are more suspense/romance with hot sex stories.

Her Breeds series are more PNR with hot sex.

Her Nauti series is not PNR... just naughty - with hot sex. LOL

Then she has some hot erotica stuff with her Bound Hearts series.

You can check everything out at www.loraleigh.com

2722926 I have not yet read any Lora Leigh books. Which set of her books would you suggest I start with?

Thanks. :-)

1113032 Walmart had it for 5 sumthing.

2357003 Arggg.. I want this book. I dont want to buy thou, but im think i might just have to im number 128 on the holding list at the library and that just sucks!! hmm i might just have to check halfprice book tomorrow!!

1113032 Kathy Anne - I started it last night and am on chapter 4. So far it's like the other books in the series but there are a couple things bothering me as a reader...the repition of certain words to describe something like 'stomped to the table' 'stomped from the room' 'stomped...' and the "F Bomb" being dropped didn't feel like real conversation.... But again, it's only chapter 4 so I will have more info to share in a day or 2.

What did you think of Heat Seeker?

1113032 I am hoping that she gets back to her old self soon. She is an author that I automatically buy and I would like to keep it that way.

883725 Yes, I read several months back that she was getting divorced. Maybe the difficulties associated with that affected her writing. I haven't read her recent releases though, so I have no idea what her writing has been like lately.

Oh, no! I hope this isn't going to be a trend because Lora Leigh's Bengal's Heart which is part of her Breeds series was the same way. It came out August 4th and it wasn't nearly as good as the others. People on Amazon.com boards felt the same way. I mean ultimately it was good, but it wasn't up to her level of storytelling.

Someone posted she just went through a divorce.

886675 Well that stinks...:(

669573 Having a hard time with "Heat Seeker" needs to pick up--badly. The beginning started out with a bang! Now the author is trying to develop her plot, suspense and romance while bringing in (what seems like) all the characters from Tempting SEALs and Elite Ops. It's just too many to keep up with for me. The plot is also struggling--complicated. Ugh.

883725 You could try returning it to Walmart for an exchange or contact the publisher for a replacement. I recently had a problem with a book that had ink shading on half of three different pages making it all but impossible to read. I had bought it at our school's spring book fair, so I couldn't return it to the retailer. Instead, I emailed the publisher and they promptly sent a replacement. It was Random House and I thought their customer service was outstanding.

1113032 Yeah, mine is close in places, too. But still not as bad as that one Brockmann book. I don't know if having bought it at WalMart matters because I got the Brockmann book at B&N.

Heat Seeker is St. Martin's Press. I wonder if Brockmann's book is also.

That is a bummer.
I can't check mine until I get home.:( As long as there are no pages missing (like that one book I got from WalMart, I think it was a Larissa Ione), I'll deal with it. Nothing is worse than missing pages!:)

message 67: by Auntee (new)

886675 Uh-oh. I never even looked at mine (beyond the cover). I hope that's not an exclusive WalMart problem.:) Kathrynn, is it readable?

message 66: by Kathrynn (new)

669573 :-)!

1113032 I don't know, my daughter has laid claim to it first because I am finishing up the Troubleshooters series. LOL I will ask her when she wakes up and let you know. It's only 4AM here.

message 64: by Kathrynn (new)

669573 Ugh. I hate having to break the spine. Is your copy of "Heat Seeker" printed near the spine, too?

1113032 Kathrynn wrote: "Yeah! I started reading "Heat Seeker." My copy seems to have suffered printing problems. :-( Most of the pages, the print is too close to the binding. Very few pages are centered correctly. Whaa!"

I had that problem with another paperback recently. A Suzanne Brockmann Troubleshooters book. I practically had to break the spine to read it because it was so close to the binding.

message 62: by Kathrynn (new)

669573 Yeah! I started reading "Heat Seeker." My copy seems to have suffered printing problems. :-( Most of the pages, the print is too close to the binding. Very few pages are centered correctly. Whaa!

1113032 YEAH! I found mine at a different WalMart tonight! WOOHOO!!!

message 60: by Cheryl (new)

1721139 thanks for the heads up. I will be looking!

1113032 I can only hope. *sigh*

message 58: by Kathrynn (new)

669573 Bummer. Maybe soon?

1113032 My WalMart, So CAL, didn't have Heat Seeker yet. :(

message 56: by Kathrynn (new)

669573 Me, too. :-)

This was one hard book to obtain! First the fiasco with B&N online--I actually got another email from them saying they wouldn't be able to complete the order for 30 days!!! What??? They must have some kind of supply problem. So of course I cancelled that, even though on their site it said 'available to ship in 24 hrs'. So then I went to WalMart on Tuesday, hoping to find it there--nope.:( So I went to my local B&N, and I had checked the availability on the website and it said it was in stock...so I go there...and no book anywhere! So I go to the service desk and ask for it. The guy looks it up and says yes, it should be here, maybe it hasn't been stocked yet...I'll check in the stock room. Ten minutes later he comes out empty handed...then he decides to look on the dolly filled with books parked next to the desk, 4 feet from me...and bingo! I hope the book is worth all the running around and thinking about it that I did!:D

669573 You finally got "Show No Fear!" Sounds like you have a story to tell on its arrival to your TBR shelf....

message 53: by Auntee (new)

886675 I know--found mine there too.:) Didn't see it in B&N though. Gotta read Show No Fear first, after all the trouble I went through to get it...

message 52: by Kathrynn (new)

669573 I'm in Texas--near Dallas area. Hope you find it! :-)

1113032 Thanks, Kathryn! Heading OUT THE DOOR! What area are you in? I'm in SO CAL

message 50: by Kathrynn (new)

669573 News! Lucked out and found "Heat Seeker" (Elite Ops, #5) at Walmart today. Spreading the word...

1113032 Thanks, Auntee! I am working on getting my hands on them. Seems like eBook is the way to go even if I have to order them separately.

message 48: by Auntee (new)

886675 Do yourself a favor, Uniquely Moi, and read them in order--much less confusion that way.:)

The later books in the series have a little more 'story' to them.

1113032 Thank you, so much! Do you know if they can be read out of order?

message 46: by Isis FG (new)

946249 There's a list here with all the books.

They are very, very sexual, especially they early ones. And all involve menage scenes, 2 have menage HEAs. There's also some BDSM.

1113032 I'm hoping someone can help me here.

I love Lora Leigh's books and have seen the Bound Hearts series. Has anyone read them? Are they over-the-top sexual? And, I can't figure out what order to read them in.

On her site she says **Note** Books II and III are available in print in the book Submission/Seduction. Books IV and V are available in print in the book Wicked Sacrifice. Books VI and VII are available in print in the book Shameless Embraces. Please click each cover for information on the books.

But when I click the cover, it lists only 1 story.

Can anyone help me out here and tell me what order/which books/ etc?

Also, do they need to be read in order?

And which book is book 1? LOL So many questions, so little time!

Thank you in advance!

message 44: by Auntee (new)

886675 Yep, I think you're right--they are definitely erotic romantic suspense.

message 43: by Kathrynn (last edited Sep 28, 2009 02:55AM) (new)

669573 I'm almost finished with "Nauti Intentions" and felt it and the rest of the Nauti series should be included in this group. The series is suspenseful and very hot, so not for the faint of heart. Here's the reading order:

1Nauti Boy (Nauti Series, #1)2Nauti Nights (Nauti, #2)3Nauti Dreams (Nauti, #3)4Nauti Intentions (Nauti, #4)5Nauti Deceptions (Nauti, #5)
