I thought "The Notebook" was sweet but not in any way deep, profound or worthy of being on "The List".
I absolutely loved this book too (Movie was wonderful as well) It is gripping, not only because of the love story that spans years and always threatens to go wrong.
But it tackles a serious issue in making Alzheimer’s a big part of the story...I admit this book had me reaching for the Kleenex box.
Who can resist such a love story? Is this not what we are all dreaming of?? (minus the illness!)
And I will definitely read it again...
BTW. Anybody try the "Jump-Kiss" yet?!;)
Oh my gosh...run get the kleenex before you read the notebook! What a strong passionate story. I love Sparks writing style. I will admit to actually crying. I still have yet to see the movie...is it really as good?
Read three weeks with my brother. Amazing book. I do like Sparks writing style. He is very talented.
I read 'The Notebook' and couldn't stand it. Terribly written, disgracefully cliched, utterly dull. But that's just my opinion. The movie wasn't much better.
I loved this book so much! One of my favorites. If you plan to read it be sure to have tissues on hand! I do think the book is better than the movie. There are more details in the book i think. I hope you enjoy it!
