How funny that people watch tv to know what to buy. How consumeristic! Yet, Sellevision makes it positively irresistable to buy off the network. So much they sell is consumerism based on advertising in the media. Does anyone really need matching pearl earrings from a tv show? Or a ring designed by Joan Rivers? I have become an anti-consumer and do not darken the door of a Target, Macy's or a tv sales network. It really is freeing to be an anti-consumerist!

So you don't buy food, clothes, etc.? How is it that you don't consume or purchase anything at all?
On a side note, I really enjoyed this book. I was a bit hesitant at first, having read Burroughs' memoirs first, and was unsure how his fiction would be. However, it offered his trademark humor, the characters were hilarious and extreme, and it had me laughing and gasping in horror all at once.
