I just wanted to tell you all about the Quick Reads series: http://www.niace.org.uk/quickreads/user/...
It's a selection of novels and non-fiction penned by well-known authors and designed for easy reading. Perfect for the one-book-a-week challenge!
You can also search Amazon for "quick reads" to get a lovely list of everything that's available -- they're cheaper than regular novels, too.
They publish more in the series each year, so it's something to keep an eye on.
