What do you think? Which is your favorite? Any movie news? Discuss anything about the popular series here :)

Abhijith Nuchin (Nuchin) | 26 comments They have released a new edition of Artemis Fowl.

Check the book covers here.

♫♫☺Allie☺♫♫ (alliwicious) | 1132 comments Those look a bit creepy actually.

I LOVE Artemis Fowl. My favorite books in the series are Artemis Fowl, The Time Paradox, and The Atlantis Complex.

Abhijith Nuchin (Nuchin) | 26 comments I didn't like The Atlantis Complex.

It's boring.

♫♫☺Allie☺♫♫ (alliwicious) | 1132 comments I was busting out laughing most of the time.

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6796 comments I've only read the first two so far, but I like them both a lot- and after my library book stack dwindles a bit more, I'm going to continue them. :)

message 7: by Kate, Samwise Gamgee (new)

Kate | 8277 comments I know how that feels.

I love all of them, but I particularly like the first, the Eternity Code and the Opal Deception (except for the part where (view spoiler)[Root dies (hide spoiler)]). And all the others. They're so funny.

♫♫☺Allie☺♫♫ (alliwicious) | 1132 comments How did you do that? (Spoiler thing)

message 9: by Kate, Samwise Gamgee (new)

Kate | 8277 comments type < spoiler > then whatever you want to say, then < /spoiler >, only don't put in the spaces inside the arrows.

message 11: by ★ Jess , Merry & Pippin :) (new)

★ Jess | 4491 comments I really didnt enjoy #2, but #3 was amazing! I loved it so much :)
Definitely read it soon, Rae!

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6796 comments I plan to. I have this *problem* where everytime I go to one of my local libraries, I tend to pick up multiple books and then my stack grows so much that i can't keep up with it. :)

message 13: by Kate, Samwise Gamgee (new)

Kate | 8277 comments That's what I do, although I don't get to go to the library that often anymore, so instead I put stuff that sounds even slightly interesting on hold, and then they all come in at once right when I have so much homework I don't even have time to sleep. The situation is just made worse when I realize I have all these good books waiting for me and I can't read them.

message 14: by Rebekah Faith, Thorin Oakenshield (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6796 comments Ugh, that sucks. I just check like 3 books out at a time--and we only go to the library when we have stuff to turn in thats about to be due--but in a family of 6 (well 5 really since my older sister's away at college) and a big reading family at that (really my younger sis, older brother and I- my dad doesn't check that many out and my mom's a slow reader), we go every week or two.

message 15: by Kate, Samwise Gamgee (new)

Kate | 8277 comments That's about how often I used to go. Then life got in the way.

message 16: by Rebekah Faith, Thorin Oakenshield (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6796 comments Yeah, life tends to do that- but since I don't have one off of GR, it's all good! lolz.

message 17: by Kate, Samwise Gamgee (new)

Kate | 8277 comments That is good. As long as no one yells at you for being antisocial.

Oh...I dont like them. Not at all.
Here is a picture of some of the covers:
I like the ones in the middle row best. They're the ones that I have :)

Maxine Mathew (Maxpam93) | 155 comments For me the best artemis fowls would be the first part and the eternity code. I loved Artemis till he was cold and evil. Sadly he seems to be becoming all goody goody in the later parts.

message 20: by Kate, Samwise Gamgee (new)

Kate | 8277 comments I like the original covers the best. The rest are weird. (then again, the ones I have are in that design, so...)

message 21: by Rebekah Faith, Thorin Oakenshield (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6796 comments I think I like the original covers best, the middle row looks cool too though...

Abhijith Nuchin (Nuchin) | 26 comments @Jessica

I like the middle too. The letters 'AF' in the last row are cool.

@Maxime

I liked the evil AF too.

♫♫☺Allie☺♫♫ (alliwicious) | 1132 comments I have all of the top ones. Except Atlantis Complex. I didn't want to wait for the right book cover to come out so I just bought it bottom row style.

The Airship Librarian (TheAirshipLibrarian) | 2189 comments I think that the first three were decent and that it should have ended there. It seemed like after that, he was just writing for money and the books were just weird.

Tara-Jayne (♥ I Read, I Love ♥) Bell (tjchocolate) | 5 comments I loved every single book!! And cannot wait till the next one!! :D
Anyone know anything about it?

The Airship Librarian (TheAirshipLibrarian) | 2189 comments There's another one? Oh my...

Tara-Jayne (♥ I Read, I Love ♥) Bell (tjchocolate) | 5 comments Did you not know!! the next one, is the last one! :D

message 29: by Kate, Samwise Gamgee (new)

Kate | 8277 comments The books were weird, yes, but that's not due to writing for money. That's due to it being an incredibly weird (and awesome) series.

The Airship Librarian (TheAirshipLibrarian) | 2189 comments It just seemed to me, like it was meant to be a trilogy. I mean the ending of the last book... It was perfect, ambiguous ending, but enough of that! I don't want to bash books or anything. I thought they were quite clever. And I loved the codes at the bottom :D

Tara-Jayne (♥ I Read, I Love ♥) Bell (tjchocolate) | 5 comments Yeah!! Apparently the next one, there might have some romance in the air for Holly And Artemis!! hehe!!

The Airship Librarian (TheAirshipLibrarian) | 2189 comments Isn't she, like, a hundred years older?

Tara-Jayne (♥ I Read, I Love ♥) Bell (tjchocolate) | 5 comments I know, but stranger things have happened!! lol
I just hope The last book is action filled and not too much romance! lol

message 34: by Kate, Samwise Gamgee (new)

Kate | 8277 comments Yeah, but in terms of relative age, like dogs years, they're around the same age, and they've been through so much together, saved each others lives multiple times, lost three years of their lives together, etc. Not sure I definitely want it, but the romance wouldn't surprise me, and I've been expecting it, to be honest.

I think having the Gnommish at the bottom was a great touch. Personally, I thought that the ending of the third was leaving it set up for a sequel. I could never see the series ending like that.

Noor Carstairs *Boogie Man!* | 14 comments I love these books!

message 36: by ★ Jess , Merry & Pippin :) (new)

★ Jess | 4491 comments I still havent read it! Im so annoyed with my self!
I LOVED The Time Paradox to pieces, and I remember throwing a tantrum that I would have to wait two years for the next one. Now the next one is out, I havent even purchase it yet!
Maybe I'll wait until the 8th one is out, so I can read them back-to-back :)

Resti Triyuliandha (yin3735) | 8 comments I love Artemis Fowl series. my favorite is the first book and the third book. :)

message 38: by Kate, Samwise Gamgee (new)

Kate | 8277 comments I'd be very impressed if you had the self control to do that Jess.

message 40: by Rebekah Faith, Thorin Oakenshield (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6796 comments I'm surprised I have the self-control to wait to buy books. Oh wait, no I'm not. I don't have the funds half the time. :)

Noor Carstairs *Boogie Man!* | 14 comments Same here. My mom doesn't like it.

message 42: by Rebekah Faith, Thorin Oakenshield (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6796 comments What, you buying books? I babysit for money- i don't like asking my parents for money.

Noor Carstairs *Boogie Man!* | 14 comments I ask, but my mom says only buying for my bday.

message 44: by Rebekah Faith, Thorin Oakenshield (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6796 comments That sucks. I'm guessing the library is your best friend?

Noor Carstairs *Boogie Man!* | 14 comments My school one. My dad doesn't take me to the public one

message 46: by Rebekah Faith, Thorin Oakenshield (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6796 comments That sucks. I'm always at the library- and my school libraries have never been all that great. But my town has a library and then the neighboring city (where i go to school since there are no high schools in the town) has one- and branches in other neighboring cities/towns, but we never go to the branches.

message 47: by Kate, Samwise Gamgee (new)

Kate | 8277 comments My town has a library that's great on it's own, and is also part of a library system, so it's VERY rare that I can't get a book I want, although I might have to wait a while for it to come in on hold (the number of books they don't have that I want has increased since I've been on GR, and particularly this group though). The school library is good for a school library, but not that great, and it's good enough in a pinch, but not for most of the time.

I almost never buy books. If we do, it's for holidays or sometimes camp (although sometimes I just use the library. You can take a book out for three weeks and camp is three weeks long, so...) Of course, it's partly because we have such a great library that we don't go to the bookstore. There's no need, I guess, and if we bough all the books we took out from the library, we would be broke. Eight years ago.

I can't imagine if my mom wouldn't take me to the library. (Or pick up the millions of books I put on hold).

message 48: by Rebekah Faith, Thorin Oakenshield (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6796 comments Seriously. My life be like, tragic. It would be so different, I would like, have to find other things to do with my time! *le gasp!* I like owning books, but I mean, it obviously rarely happens. Most of the time I buy books that I've already read because I've gotten them out of the library or a friend loaned it to me.

message 49: by Kate, Samwise Gamgee (new)

Kate | 8277 comments I use any excuse I can to buy a book, but I don't mind just using the library. Which is a very good thing, because as I mentioned before, I love my library. It is, quite literally, my life.

Last year, for either my birthday or Hanukkah, my mom didn't get me any books, because she figured I could just go to the library or something like that. I was so upset. She hasn't made that mistake again.

message 50: by Rebekah Faith, Thorin Oakenshield (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6796 comments hahaha, I would probably be upset too. Some of the reasons I don't want an e-reader is because 1. i like the physical copy of the book in my hand 2. the smell. have you ever opened a new book (or an old one) and just breathed it in?
