Melanie's 100 books
Just out of interest Melanie (and because there's been lots in the media about it lately) have you or your uni friends started to get your textbooks as ebooks instead of the paper versions?

Re the cost of uni books, Sheldon's cost us $360 and she is most likely going to have more next semester, but fortunately she has recieved a govt payment in addition to her youth allowance which has been fantastic so we've used that money to cover the books & hope to get her a laptop, so we're very appreciative of the help!
Textbooks are a horror, spent 250$ of useless textbooks last semester.. This Semesters cost is 270 or so..I end up buying from the co-op bookstore on campus but its still so expensive..Never actually read a whole textbook before ;o haha but good luck with your goal ;)
one of my text books last year cost me 230 just one and i changed my degree this year waste of money! it's just plain robbery haha
couple of re reads while waiting on some books from the library and the net2. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone*****
3. Eragon****
4. Dead Until Dark***
textbooks are a scam - they get updated almost every term so you usually can't even buy used usually - e-books are at least friendlier to mother nature and to your back/arms, pity they don't bring down the price respectively
my advice dont do a double buisness and commerce degree the books in journalism are much cheaper...but still expensive

Melanie here is a little tick counter you could use to see how you are going with your goal. It's cute anyway. There are lots of little gimicky things to use to personalise your own counter.

I thought it was cute anyway.

Very sweet Melanie, we won't compare it to the political worm, your's is so much more interesting & cuter!!
Melanie wrote: "*sigh* another recomendation i should not have read"Recommendations from friends is tricky business. If you hate the book they love or vice versa, that can effect the friendship.
But good work with adding another book to your list
I agree i guess im lucky that our friendship is good enough for me to tell her she has a horrible taste in books and then i can give her something better to read but she always manages to find books like this hahah :Dbut im slowly making my way

You go girl!!!! LOL
Well done, keep it happening! ;)
Laura wrote: "90 more to go ;) Hehehe, sorry that was evil of me to say XD"Just did the calculations for Melanie...a book every 3 days will do it!!! So Laura, when broken down like that it's achievable...the 90 sounds harder than one every 3 days...lol!!! ;)
