1151322 I don't like any of the series books except Sookie Stackhouse Southern Vampire Mysteries. Vampires Bill or Eric blow Edward and crew away. But I will admit reading Sookie is like eating popcorn. I like old school evil vamps the best like Dracula and Carmilla. Basically it amounts to modern writters have reinvented what vampires are. I like the original vampire persona much better than the nice vampires.

1114360 I loved that book. It was better than the rest of them cause of the romance and all of the action in it. I loved reading it and I can't wait to see the movie. It will be awesome. I really want her to write more books.. :(

1151322 How funny this discussion began about "Breaking Dawn". Yeah your average person is rather a dim bulb, gernerally speaking.

far from normal people rock (like me)!!!!!!!

message 34: by Cary (new)

1151322 I revel in being unlike the masses. I guess that's why I like vampire stories so much. They are so misunderstood,LOL. People would call me Gary, Corey, or just give me a nick name. My name is AC/DC like many Celtic names,Jamie and Cary can be male or female. My sister is Jamie.

FAR FROM NORMAL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! O YA SO ME!!!!!!!!!!!

Yea I really agree on that but if I had to chose between naming the kid carlie or renesmee, I sure as hell would have picked carlie....just saying :)

message 31: by Cary (new)

1151322 I kinda like Far From Normal type names

...

message 29: by Cary (new)

1151322 Well I would agree on that. But I think vampires should have old classic type names. Old names since they have been around for awhile. Like Drucilla on Buffy. Or names that are mystical and beautiful. Stella or Rhianon or Sophia. Or names that are anagrams for something else. Carlie is OK. But adding the two names of your realtives together to get Renesmee is just dull.

1247907 i like carlie better than renesmee....

message 27: by Cary (new)

1151322 Oh the names are OK. It not what I would have named my kids,LOL. Or the way I would make their names up by combining the names of other people. Carmilla, and her two aliases Millarca, Mircalla. Had to have the same letters. There is some slavic vamp code that a vampire can change names but must keep the exact same letters in the same number in forming the new name. Now thats vamp naming fer yah.

message 26: by Swati (new)

1797197 how about this, renesmee is fine, but carlies kinda too much!

message 25: by Swati (new)

1797197 :D

message 24: by Swati (new)

1797197 kay sorry then cary!

message 23: by Cary (last edited Jan 05, 2009 09:17AM) (new)

1151322 I did not read that book. But I did read a synopsis. The name Renesmee is kinda stupid. Don't yah think? I should stop if you can't say something nice you should not say anything.

message 22: by Swati (new)

1797197 ew i dint like renesmee..dont relaly know why though!!

1191275 i don't really like the fact that edward could suddenly get bella pregnant either, but
1) stephenie meyer made it work
2) apparently, it wasn't a sudden thing, it had happened b4
3) i really can't think of another way 2 give jacob a good happy ending
4) renesmee is so sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!!!!!!! (lolz)

message 17: by Cary (new)

1151322 I agree with you Michelle. Stephenie Myer got a little too creative. Vampires siring children is just to much. A new genre of Vampyre story has ben created, "Romance Vampire Novels". Just take a chessy Romance novel and toss in a few Vampires. I don't mind Vampires having relationships with humans. I love vampire couples where the woman has been turned by her vampire lover. As long as the Vampire reamains essentially an Occult creation and is inherently evil. Devoted to the classic Gothic Vampire mythos, Cary

1317993 BD was too weird for me. I hated the fact that Stephenie Meyer changed her whole intricate world of vampires. Yeah, I'm talking about how Edward can suddenly father a child. That's not the only thing though, but I'm so annoyed already that I'm stopping there. I wish that she would have just left Twilight as a stand alone. I'm trying so hard to block the others out of my brain.

message 10: by ♥ Rachel♥ (new)

1191275 wat do u mean by "cookie-cutter" series?

message 9: by Crystal (new)

1032120 I love that this series is enjoyed by everyone from 13-65. I have talked to many mothers and they are readings this along with their daughters. They have something in common and the lines of communication are open wide. I have found that vast variety of people enjoy this series, no matter what genre they normally read.

I have noticed that people are divided about the outcomes in the last book. Some people were disappointed and upset, while others were happy and satisfied with the ending.

I enjoyed it myself greatly and was surprised by a few twists and turns along the way. I am sad that it had to end but I'm glad she stopped before it started to become a "cookie-cutter" series.

1191275 i can't get it out of my system!!!!!! anyway, i own all of the books, i'm rereading twilight @ the moment...

message 7: by Alexis (new)

1178888 At least it will give us enough time to get some of the series out of our system so when it finally does come it'll be like BAM!! Amazingness all over again :)

It is definitely as good as the other 3, I just hope that Stephanie Meyer continues the story. Edward Cullen rocks! ;)
