This thriller novel is FREE for Kindle readers now to March 19 PST.

A regular on Amazon’s bestseller list in its Conspiracy Books category, it’s a high-octane thriller with an edge.

How do you catch a man who is never the same man twice? That is the question posed in The Ninth Orphan...

An orphan grows up to become an assassin for a highly secretive organization. When he tries to break free and live a normal life, he is hunted by his mentor and father figure, and by a female orphan he spent his childhood with. On the run, the mysterious man's life becomes entwined with his beautiful French-African hostage and a shocking past riddled with the darkest of conspiracies is revealed.

Rachel (treychel) | 1484 comments Thanks again! May I ask how you find all of these? I always just go look at the promotional page, all though I know there are many more. I tried looking up free books using a search, found a lot, but I just didn't have the patience or time to scroll through and pick out the ones I wanted. Do you just limit your search to a particular genre?

I start from this link: Amazon Top 100 Free Books.
It updates every hour or so....
I usually take a peek at the fantasy genre only and click those I found interesting. Also when I find interesting free book, I scroll trough section Customers Who Bought This Item Also Bought, I usually find similar free books there. And that's my secret. :D

♥Robin ♥ (Scoobydoo0811) I use http://www.ereaderiq.com/ which shows lots and lots of the amazon free books daily : ) Every morning after checking GR I immediately go and check ereaderiq lol and get my 10-30 free books : ) If you move your cursor over the bookcover it gives you a synopsis and if you click on the cover it takes you directly to the amazon page. Happy searching!!!

Just a warning: I have had my kindle since Christmas and I have already accumulated about 3000 books from this site.

Rachel (treychel) | 1484 comments Thanks, Robin! I will add that one to my list. Wow! 3000...looks like you have a lot of reading to do!

You are more than welcome : ) I love this site. Saves me a lot of trouble of going through the Top 100 and the method of "Customers who bought this" I sometimes (rarely) use Books on the Knob because I don't think it is as well organized nor does it have all the daily freebies, just a select few. I also like ereaderiq because it has a section of kindle price drops and I have found a lot of books that range from 50 cents to a penny lol. You can also put in books that you want to have watched for price drops : ) And of course, like the other sites it regularly updated.

Once I have clicked on the bookcover and it takes me over to the amazon page just make sure the price is still $0.00 I haven't run across one yet that isn't but I always make sure : )

message 126: by Rachel (new)

Rachel (treychel) | 1484 comments A penny?! Oh, don't tell me that. Lol.

Yes I always make sure to look at the price, especially with that "1-click buy" enabled. Makes me a little nervous sometimes!

That "1-click buy" is the reason why I'm broke. Beware!

message 128: by ♥Robin ♥ (new)

♥Robin ♥ (Scoobydoo0811) LOL yes I just ran across 2 books last night on the kindle drop down pricing on ereader, one was a nickel and one was a penny. There were a couple right around the 50 cent price but can't remember what they were now lol

Yes, I don't care for that one click buy thingy that is why I make sure I always double check everything :) Have fun browsing!!!!

Lisarenee | 7661 comments The House of Women by Anne Whitfield
The House of Women by Anne Brear is free through Sunday

http://www.amazon.com/The-House-of-Wo...

Description:
As the Victorian Age draws to a close, lonely and brokenhearted, Grace Woodruff fights for her sisters' rights to happiness while sacrificing any chance for her own.

The eldest of seven daughters, Grace is the core of strength around which the unhappy members of the Woodruff family revolve. As her disenchanted mother withdraws to her rooms, Grace must act as a buffer between her violent, ambitious father and the sisters who depend upon her.

Rejected by her first love and facing a spinster's future, she struggles to hold the broken family together through her father's infidelity, one sister's alcoholism, and another's out-of-wedlock pregnancy by an unsuitable match.

Caring for an illegitimate half-brother affords Grace an escape, though short-lived. Forced home by illness and burdened with dwindling finances, Grace faces fresh anguish –and murder– when her first love returns to wreck havoc in her life.

All is not lost, however. In the midst of tragedy, the fires of her heart are rekindled by another. Will the possibility of true love lead Grace to relinquish her responsibilities in the house of women and embrace her own right to happiness?

FREE ON AMAZON KINDLE for 5 DAYS - “The World Eve Left Us” by Boston Teran. Starts June 7th and runs through June 11th. After that, “Eve” will be 99¢.

“The World Eve Left Us” was first published in France as “Trois Femmes” and an immediate hit – both a bestseller and now a classic. A great love story.

I read this great work in french years ago. Moved to tears, touched with joy. Evil bled down on these women’s lives, yet they find strength and resilience within themselves and each other they did not know existed.

“The world is the Bronx of the 1950's to the 1970's. Two women, one an uneducated Italian, the other a survivor of Nazi barbarism, give their lives to raise a deaf girl named Eve, guiding her from uneducated waif to profound artist. ... What we have here is a magnificent portrait of wounded but combative women and a portrait of the Bronx... a beautiful hymn to solidarity, profoundly moving.” – PARIS MATCH

For free today and tomorrow,August 7th and 8th, The Marriage PriceAlma Katsu. FYI, it's intended for mature audiences.

"DREAMS CAN COME TRUE—BUT THE PRICE IS STEEP in this short story from THE TAKER saga

Evangeline McDougal is the luckiest girl in St. Andrew, Maine. She’s to wed Jonathan St. Andrew, eldest son of the town’s founder and heir to the timber business that has made the St. Andrews one of the wealthiest families in the state.

Nor does it hurt that her bridegroom is so very handsome. Irresistible, in fact. And when rumors fly about her husband-to-be and several of the other girls in town. . . . What is Evangeline to think? There is a price to pay for her marriage to Jonathan, but surely it is worth the cost.

Isn’t it?"
