The square magi turned and left with the woman, and the older magi shook his head. The old one murmmered as he walked away, "The mechanics won't like this" and walked away. Mechanics! DAmian thought, I'll bet the cargo holds aren't too far from the engine and wiring compartments! He set off following the old Magi toward what he hoped was his post. Maybe he could slip in unnoticed, or come up with an excuse for being lost.
The square magi had a tiny head on his massive shoulders. He was in full dress uniform and had all his medals hanging on his chest. He was talking intently to an older magi who had a colored robe on, he seemed to be in disagreement with what the square magi was saying cos he kept shaking his head wanting to say something, but the square one kept talking. There wwre also several other people gathered around the two people.
Damien moved closer to the group, wanting to hear what they were saying and almost hit his head on a bulkhead. He sure wasn't having a good day today, if it were any worse he would find himself in ship prison he thought for truancy, spying, what not...!
The robed person finally raised his voice just when the square one paused for a second, and said, "No that is unacceptable. You can't go back on your word, we won't be able to control the rebels if you stop selling to us, there would be a riot and maybe a revolution that would affect you.You..."he didn't get any further as just then a woman magi came in and said something to the square magi.
Damien realising it was probably mid shift time, was nervously pacing a corner of the cafetaria, unsure how to explain his absence from his post. He had found out from the schedule he was in the cargo crew. The cook got him a steaming cup of coffee, and as Damien absent mindedly took the cup he accidentally spilled the scalding fluid all over his hand. Screaming in pain, he stood gasping holding his hand, the cook said to him,"you must be the craziest person i have ever seen on this ship and i have seen a few..well, aren't you gonna head off to the medical room now?"
"Bahhhh" Damien told the guy, and seeingthe square magi come in, he found a quiet corner to spy...
((I don't actually know waht the prophacy says... we've talked about the prophacy, but never actually known what it is about.))
((Healing is a fairy thing Nausheen, so there are probably not a lot of other maji who can do that. i know they didn't actually inlist or anything MG, but when she put them in the computers she had to make the files at least believable enough that if someone did look them up it wouldn't put them in trouble.
I assumed she put that she was a half-blood in her file so someone wouldn't ask her to do something she couldn't, because she doesn't have the full power that her grandma had.
((so i guess she was checking out the facilities, i wonder if all the magi can heal themselves...hmm...maybe she 's a healer, but she does not want to reveal all her powers yet))
(( She didn't sign up..... they were trying to get off the base but were rounded up with the other crew members and Kandra hacked in and put them on the manifest so that they wouldn't be found out. and it wouldn't work if she was half magi cause then they would be suspicious.))
((she signed up as a half-falir though, becuase she didn't want them to overestimate her magic though MG))
((We don't want the magi to know she's part human..... they're humans enemies..... she's supposed to be magi.))
((? she heals herself, you know. Though I could see her doing that on purpose to check out what kinds of medical phacilities they have. Any creature/person of magic, excluding human appearance - wizards, witches, sorcerers - are maji))

Kandra had been taken to the medical rooms, when she had developed a rather severe hand burn when she accidentally fired a phaser at herself. Her trip to the medical room helped her to understand in some way how advanced the magi technology was. She was given a nano treatment for the burn by a non magi creature who was part nightmarish. He had a magi head but for hands he had suction tubes and he walked on four purple legs, kind of like a gothic centaur. In fact the lower part of his body was not real at all, it was a hologram image and so he sort of floated around the room sucking up this and that stuff.
((Well, they're on a ship, it can't be too hard to find him. her name is Kandra. I'm not really sure how we cme up with Kathy...))
Damien, panicking that he had been found out by the magi on the vid phone, decided to leave in a hurry. He was determined to get into the locked room, but maybe another day...He ran back the way he had come upon the locked biolab, sprinted down the long passage and found his way back to the lift. He had no idea which floor he had to go to, so just pressed the highest number on the lift control pad.
He clung to the wall, holding his sides to keep himself from collapsing...the scare and the effort of the run seemed to have doubled his heart beat. "Should find the fitness rooms soon...' he thought as several magi entered and left on different levels. Some looked at him curiously, but no one spoke to him.
He heard the magi beside him say to his companion "I'll be in the cafetaria for the next hour...get back to me soon' and Damien got off on the same leve along with the magi.
'Back where I started' he thought, now to really figure out how to contact Kandra and come up with a plan....if only...

I so want Damian to be sent to the magi prison/whatever...maybe he could end up in their nightmare cell))
((he has to put out considerable effort to do the mind thing though, and he has to be touching the skin of the person who's mind he's in - I just made those up actually, but if they don't have somekind of limit it would probably not be a good plot element)
((Damien's powers are somewhat undefined right now... we know he's apparently a powerful sorcerer, he can fly but he flies vertically, he is immune to the deadly gas that the magi use in combat, and apparently is unaffected by the magi force fields, he is trained in hand to hand combat, and can read minds.))
((about the story, remember back when they had to get into the magi vessel, Kandra pulled a disappearing act to get her in and MG sd she didn't see what Damien had to do to get in cos they didn't have the barcodes or something...what is Damien's magic??? ))
((maybe he just likes to say that you know like he is totally sociopathic and hates everyone!!!!
DE I will watch the show soon and let you know, I read the new chapter of Bleach, it's ok, I like strong female roles so kinda letdown cos she keeps crying. And maybe it's a bit too much for you cos you're in school lol but i found this other strip about The Absolute Boyfriend, check it when you grow up ...or not haha ))
((I HATE violence. That part when they shot themselves was gross and really CREEPY. More than creepy. So does that guy with the violet eyes become evil? If not, why did his say 'Kill yourselvs'?!?!))
(( I know what you mean, Janeen-chan. I shouldn't be on here right now. I should be catching up on my Japanese class I'm behind in... I hope you like that show Janeen-chan, SP. It's called Code Geass. It's a cartoon about this war and the people who are fighting on opposite sides are friends and don't know they're fighting each other. It's a YA show though, so don't go showing it to litte kids or anything cause of the violence, and some other stuff here and there))

Damien pulled out a few of the pulsating goblets to divert the flow of light. He was able time the pulses and guessed it was some kind of power mechanism. He was fearful of being stopped midway and kept glancing around towards where he had come from.
He stared eagerly at the door hoping his tinkering had helped, the door remained shut.
He thought of calling Kandra again to check if she had any bright ideas of her own...He beeped her, thinking she would still be on her bridge call. His signal was answered by a magi creature, he stared at him sternly and squawked something in a magi dialect. Damien, lost his cool at seeing the unfamiliar face staring at him, he felt his heart beat going up...till it exploded in his ears. He was so scared he almost dropped the dialvideo hand screen.
"......state your name and barcode?" the voice finally made sense. Damien remembered to shut off the monitor just as the magi started shouting "::::Intruder:::::"
