Finally being focused enough to see all Dee's good wishes that I had my eyesight back. Thanks Dee.My red tea kettle whistling when snow is falling outside.
Wandering empty avenues, with my mind in peace,Listening to music, purifying my thoughts streams,
And then letting them out without stumbling,
These are a few of my favorite things.
Make people laugh with me, and then go to sleep,
Drinking pure water, forget about the whole meal,
picture myself living in the 60's or 70's,
These are a few of my favorite things.
Childhood ideas, games and innocent actions,
Playing with children, leave adults' contraptions,
Make my point that people don't like to cheat,
These are a few of my favorite things.
Family movies, volley ball, chocolate and candies
Telepathy, family discussion, friends pillow fighting,
Riding a bicycle on a long empty street,
These are a few of my favorite things.
Books, Chocolate, losing weight, a strong logical argument (mine or someone else's), my job, when a stranger takes my opinion in the shop after noticing something I tried on, my grandma's street, her cooking, her wisedom, New York, Ireland, cats, foxes (animals in general), smiling to a child on the street, making friends with strangers in the airport while waiting for my flight, telepathy, the 60's & 70's...I could go on forver :)
The holidays this time of year has to be on my list of faves: Hot cocoa, hot strong coffee, warm cinammon rolls, mulled wine, joining in with strangers carroling, lights twinkling on snow-topped trees, bells ringing, a beautiful sight, we're happy tonight....
The Hersey Cacoa Reserve dark chocolate is rated one of the best and it's a favorite of mine. My other favorite is the holidays! It's been tough the past few years because my mother died Nov. 8th and then two years after that my grandfather died right before Christmas. So, the holidays lost their meaning for a few years. But this year, I think that feeling of "family" is coming back! My father has met someone special and it seems our family is growing. Family is the real meaning of life and the holidays and I can't wait for Christmas!
The look outside when it's evening.
My husband and children.
Meeting different people who share wonderful and encouraging stories.
Good music, food, books and seeing people that are smiling and happy.
Oh and btw, yes Meghan, I have had orange chocolate and it's the best! =) I totally have to agree with you on that one!
Hmmm, so many things are labeled as "my favorite". I would have to say CHOCOLATE totally! =) Books of course and my computer, hence being on good reads! =) Watching "Cheaters" and "Extreme Home Makeover" with my hubby. (He's a major jock and I'm an artist/writer so these are like the only things we like to watch in common. =)haha) The sweetest most wonderful things in the world are when my girls will just randomly say "I love you Mommy", or "You're my best friend in the whole world Mommy" How darling is that? Ah, they melt me. And last but SO totally not least, my favorite thing is to see the smile my family gets when I do something for them. They are so grateful, such wonderful people. I actually went and cut & colored both my sisters and their hubby's and all their kids hair today and they were so excited. But service is selfish cause it makes me feel so good. =) haha, you know what I mean?
Those moments that just slip into your life where you move from feeling unwell, to being yourself again. You look back and say, "What was the big deal?" (Just kidding.) You look back and then where you are now and feel grateful.
My favorite things: hugs and kisses from my hubby, singing in the shower, chocolate dipped strawberries, playing the piano, warm sun, thunder storms, trees, laughing with a friend, grass, my dogs, penpals, warm fire in fireplace, sleeping in, reading a good book andnot worrying about the time...
Reading, travelling, perfume, folk cultures, gardening, chocolate, autumn colors, music ... there are so many "small" things that are colouring our days!
I like milk chocolate the best. Has anyone had orange chocolate? It's really good!
I love fall! The leaves changing color is so beautiful. I love waking up and seeing the glitter of frost on the red and orange leaves. I also really like sitting by a warm fire while there is snow blowing about outside, wrapped in a warm blanket and reading a good book. Hot cocoa makes this even better.
Ballroom is my favorite class at school. It's so much fun! I love it!
I love reading and writing, of course! And visiting the library.
I don't drink coffee, but I love the smell of it mixed with that of new books. So I love bookstores!
I can go on forever!
Yes, that is lovely. Also, the morning when the dew has frozen on the bare trees making everything look like glass.
I almost want to burst out into song "These are a few of my favorite things..." lol Okay...well chocolate is always a must, family, friends, my books not sure what I would do with out something to read, movies, my dogs, my house (we built it from scratch) and many many more things.
Getting up before dawn on Black Friday to go shopping (the morning after Thanksgiving, aka, opening day of shopping season)
~500 thread-count "Egyptian Cotton" sheets
~Red leather boots
~100% cotton clothing
~Autumn leaves
~A good vintage Pinot Noir
~A lazy day in bed on a rainy day with a good book
~Dancing under a full moon in the predawn hours, in my nightgown (I live in the country, no city lights and no neighbors).
~Cuddling in bed with my Labradors.
~Watching my husband read my novel for the first time.
~Getting calls from readers who have just finished reading Sons of Avalon: Merlin's Prophecy and want to thank me for the journey.
~Writing early in the morning, while listening to Loreena McKennitt on my headphones.
~The scent of fresh musky incense wafting through the air.
~Wolfs howling in the middle of the night.
~The smell of a horse.
Oh, yes, and dark chocolate.

What is your most recent out-of-town trip Alyn? And Brigid, I'm enjoying watching your changing kaleidescope of pictures.
trying new eating places, a good massage at the spa, out-of-town trips with close friends, nature treks, my books (of course!) and my growing coca-cola collection
I see you've put up a picture of you, now, too. That's great. I'm glad you're having fun with your new "Brigid" group!
thanx! ;D it's a picture of the inside of this lamp that i have... it's like a lava lamp only it has glitter in it instead of lava. lol. so i took a picture of it and i liked how it looked.
My current favorite thing: taking a break and going on vacation where you can't get on the computer or use a cell phone. Ahhh.... ;)
Picking up the phone to hear the voice of a friend, or answering the door to discover a friend is on the other side.
Freshly mowed grass, a mother bird with her little birds peeping in the nest, (just outside my window, even), but most especially, picking up the phone, answering the door, to find a friend on the other side.
Sigh. Life is good. More favorites, now that it's summer: paper-thin sliced cucumbers (from the garden no less) with onions, oil and vinegar. Mmmm. My mouth is watering. Tomato, cucumber, onion and kalamata olive greek salad, watching a mother bird feed her babies in the nest on my front porch the other day.
I love Dark Choclate, country muisc, reading, writing of course and watching my soap opera's

I love politics. Really! Not to be a politician, but I love to be involved with what we decide and how we decide to govern our society. I watch politics like some watch sports. I think it has more relevance on our lives than sports. I think it really matters.
I do get frutrated, often, but like a devoted sports fan, I keep the faith and stay excited about the process. Wierd? Maybe.
I'm also a an of Dark Chocolate. Did you know it is good for you! I also like my husband. Not everyone can say that. I genuinely like him as well as love him. Same for my children and grandchildren. I like eating at Miss Daisy's. I like girlie things. I like Branson, MO and Gulf Shores, AL. I like reading, email, writing, needlework, teaching, public speaking, planning events, administrative work, clothes, shoes, reading, having coffee on the balcony with my husband.
Milk chocolate, music, nature's beauty, chocolate chip cookie dough ice-cream, cake batter ice-cream, Ruby's Diner and In-N-Out (restaurants on west coast of the US), randomness, friends, meeting people, the beach, La La Land, clouds, rain, the sun, cool weather, animals, and so much more but I don't want to bore you. Basically everything and I most of the time love my life and the world I live in.
I love good conversations, discussions of cultures, religions, philosophy, politics, relationships, and dreams, loves and dislikes. I love having those conversations with people I repect and with whom I disagree. I love it most after a great meal, with good cognac and good coffee. However, easy on the cognac or I don't remember much of the conversation the next morning, and easy on the coffee or the discussion lasts until the next morning.
I love spending time with my nieces, who are almost 4 yo and 14 months respectively.. I love to read a book when it's pouring outside, good cup of coffee, laughing with my friends, especially when we talked about silly things we did way back when :)
animals, EPA, flutes and violins, music of any kind besides rap and heavy metal, working on the computer in Goodreads, SHOPPING; especially for clothes, flowers; especially spring, reuben sandwiches, ham salad, chocolate mousse, pickled or fried mushrooms, my wonderful, playful, loving cat.
That is good enough for now.
Besides getting new people to join my newsletter (which is an obsession at the moment) I love to sit on top of a mountain in summertime when the snow still lingers and have a glass of red wine from a restaurant terrace. To me that is a billionare moment. Thick, soft, melt-in-the mouth Swiss chocolate is another favourite thing.
1. Dark choc works for me too.
2. time with friends and family
3. Books and Music
4. My computer
5 my cats
I love to watch comedy on tv like jon stewart, stephen colbert, black books, couplings etc. I love it when I'm driving really fast, something came on the radio, and it's just the right soundtrack for the moment; you know songs like "Sunday Bloody Sunday" or "Anarchy in the UK":). I love my brother and sister, although they can be so infuriating lol.. and I adore my two nieces
What else...I love taking pictures, going on long country drives with my family or by myself, singing at the top of my lungs while I'm driving, lots of quiet time when the snow is falling, digging in dirt and pulling out weeds, which my mother would never have believed during my young years when we had to weed a whole row before we went swimming...Ummm, that's good for now.
