Your favorite things
OK, I'll start:
Dark chocolate, being with family and friends, good food, laughing til I can't breathe, walking, a breeze blowing the window curtains, anything exotic or foreign. Languages. My children.
I also love dark chocolate, being with family and friends, walking and when I can (on a walker). I also like watching nature, crafts, reading, writing (mostly poetry), classical music, the wind whistling in the air and smiling and laughing.
DARK CHOCOLATE?!?! YAAAY!!! XD or any kind of chocolate, really.okay... what else? well, reading and writing obviously, my family, my friends, coffee XD, dancing, singing, acting, moviemaking, photography, drawing, watching movies, 'american idol' ;D, 'so you think you can dance', 'project runway', 'the amazing race', being HAPPY XD.
I like chocolate, but I love all kinds of good and exotic foods, spices, cooking styles...I love to cook, and wine--I love good wine and good company and good conversations after a great meal, by the fire or watching the sunset, breezes cooling the warm-day's air, laughing at silly things, waxing philosophical with friends who disagree. That's the best!
Let's see....reading, writing, drawing, doodling (there is a difference) roleplaying, playing with my siblings, hanging out with my friends, watching Word Girl, imagining, baked goods, dark chocolate, and making things with clay
Clay is awesome...it take any shape and the tactile sensation is great. I throw pottery and scult in clay...it's just my childhood love turned more adult, I think.
I teach massage therapy (among other things) and make the students sculpt the muscles and attach them to a miniature skeleton from the hobby shop. They're like children when they begin using the clay.
Chocolate, my piano, my clarinet, my books, my sister, my parents, my computer, my bed, writing, icecream, my gods and goddesses, and the earth!!
so many other stuff i like can't list all of them. These are my most favorite.
I'm very much all about laughing until I'm breathless and/or crying, knitting, reading, movies, my family and friends, The Office & Dexter and my kitties (Kitty & Diva).
Blooming--great list! I played piano and clarinet, but I gave it up. The world didn't lose anything, trust me. "...so many other stuff i like can't list all of them." Another good list. We all should have a similar list, so long we can't list them all...oh, we do, we just lose it, sometimes.
Reading, writing, (i wish) horseback riding, um... i like cats and otters. my favorite thing in the whole wide world is hanging out with my bff. :)
oh duh i completely forgot I love playing the Beetoven Sonatina in G 1st and 2nd movements on the piano (not sure if i spelled beetoven right) and i absolutely llooooooovvee playing the violin. i do suzuki and i haven't been playing piano long but im in book 3 and in violin im in book 5. so im medium-advanced in piano and advanced in violin, but not joshua bell level. ((ps. me & josh are distantly related))
I would absolutely love to play the violin. Is it hard to learn? I am, after all, 55-years-old. It's hard to teach an old dog new tricks. :)
Besides reading, I love Scrapbooking. I have about 10 albums that I am working on. I also like to quilt, crochet and garden. But it's really hard to do all at the same time. So I have to work on one for awhile and then another. My hubby keeps telling me I have toooooooo many hobbies. He says"You need to pick one and stick to it." Well, guess what, I can't. LOL
I love rasberry chocolate, reading, writing, singing, swimming, sewing, knitting, visiting with my brother Aaron (who I don't get to see very often), listening to music, riding horses, and pretending!
I also love to take pictures. I love tea, but only some types, and I like to have a whole week without my brother Alex! He is the one that lives in the house with me, because he is the youngest of the six kids of our parents.
Ally, if you like raspberry chocolate, have you tried the Chocolove brand of Cherries and Chilies? I think that's what it's called. It's got a bit of heat to it. I LOVE it. I crumble half a bar into my cereal for breakfast if I have it around.
I like to play the piano and the clarinet. Oh, I keep adding things! I bet everyone here could keep going and going!
What else...I love taking pictures, going on long country drives with my family or by myself, singing at the top of my lungs while I'm driving, lots of quiet time when the snow is falling, digging in dirt and pulling out weeds, which my mother would never have believed during my young years when we had to weed a whole row before we went swimming...Ummm, that's good for now.
I love to watch comedy on tv like jon stewart, stephen colbert, black books, couplings etc. I love it when I'm driving really fast, something came on the radio, and it's just the right soundtrack for the moment; you know songs like "Sunday Bloody Sunday" or "Anarchy in the UK":). I love my brother and sister, although they can be so infuriating lol.. and I adore my two nieces
1. Dark choc works for me too.
2. time with friends and family
3. Books and Music
4. My computer
5 my cats
Besides getting new people to join my newsletter (which is an obsession at the moment) I love to sit on top of a mountain in summertime when the snow still lingers and have a glass of red wine from a restaurant terrace. To me that is a billionare moment. Thick, soft, melt-in-the mouth Swiss chocolate is another favourite thing.
animals, EPA, flutes and violins, music of any kind besides rap and heavy metal, working on the computer in Goodreads, SHOPPING; especially for clothes, flowers; especially spring, reuben sandwiches, ham salad, chocolate mousse, pickled or fried mushrooms, my wonderful, playful, loving cat.
That is good enough for now.
I love spending time with my nieces, who are almost 4 yo and 14 months respectively.. I love to read a book when it's pouring outside, good cup of coffee, laughing with my friends, especially when we talked about silly things we did way back when :)
I love good conversations, discussions of cultures, religions, philosophy, politics, relationships, and dreams, loves and dislikes. I love having those conversations with people I repect and with whom I disagree. I love it most after a great meal, with good cognac and good coffee. However, easy on the cognac or I don't remember much of the conversation the next morning, and easy on the coffee or the discussion lasts until the next morning.
Milk chocolate, music, nature's beauty, chocolate chip cookie dough ice-cream, cake batter ice-cream, Ruby's Diner and In-N-Out (restaurants on west coast of the US), randomness, friends, meeting people, the beach, La La Land, clouds, rain, the sun, cool weather, animals, and so much more but I don't want to bore you. Basically everything and I most of the time love my life and the world I live in.
I'm also a an of Dark Chocolate. Did you know it is good for you! I also like my husband. Not everyone can say that. I genuinely like him as well as love him. Same for my children and grandchildren. I like eating at Miss Daisy's. I like girlie things. I like Branson, MO and Gulf Shores, AL. I like reading, email, writing, needlework, teaching, public speaking, planning events, administrative work, clothes, shoes, reading, having coffee on the balcony with my husband.
I love politics. Really! Not to be a politician, but I love to be involved with what we decide and how we decide to govern our society. I watch politics like some watch sports. I think it has more relevance on our lives than sports. I think it really matters.
I do get frutrated, often, but like a devoted sports fan, I keep the faith and stay excited about the process. Wierd? Maybe.
I love Dark Choclate, country muisc, reading, writing of course and watching my soap opera's

Sigh. Life is good. More favorites, now that it's summer: paper-thin sliced cucumbers (from the garden no less) with onions, oil and vinegar. Mmmm. My mouth is watering. Tomato, cucumber, onion and kalamata olive greek salad, watching a mother bird feed her babies in the nest on my front porch the other day.
Freshly mowed grass, a mother bird with her little birds peeping in the nest, (just outside my window, even), but most especially, picking up the phone, answering the door, to find a friend on the other side.
Picking up the phone to hear the voice of a friend, or answering the door to discover a friend is on the other side.
My current favorite thing: taking a break and going on vacation where you can't get on the computer or use a cell phone. Ahhh.... ;)
thanx! ;D it's a picture of the inside of this lamp that i have... it's like a lava lamp only it has glitter in it instead of lava. lol. so i took a picture of it and i liked how it looked.
I see you've put up a picture of you, now, too. That's great. I'm glad you're having fun with your new "Brigid" group!
trying new eating places, a good massage at the spa, out-of-town trips with close friends, nature treks, my books (of course!) and my growing coca-cola collection
What is your most recent out-of-town trip Alyn? And Brigid, I'm enjoying watching your changing kaleidescope of pictures.
