This challenge will begin January 1, 2011 and end December 31 at midnight.

I kind of found this challenge in another group, aptly named 50 Books in a Year, but I thought it would be nice to have the challenge here. The goal is to read 50 books in one year. Pick your books out ahead of time and try to read them all (or more) throughout the year. It doesn't matter which books you pick, as long as you have 50. You can pick your books by theme, genre, alphabetical order, whatever--mix and match!

*The 50 Books
*Any interesting/unique way of organizing your 50 book challenge?
*Have you done this type of challenge before?
*Do you think you'll go beyond the 50 books?

I guess everyone is planning out their books for the year? I guess I'm going as it will. I will post the books I've read so far later.

Lindy-Lane (moonbacklit) | 44 comments I've decided to delete my previously posted TBR list for this challenge and just list the books as I read them. I'm still sticking with reading only books that I all ready own for this challenge, and I'm hoping that quite of few of those choices will reduce my GRTBR shelf.

Lindy-Lane (moonbacklit) | 44 comments I should be reading through this challenge a lot faster now because for the rest of this year, I'm picking my books for the other challenges I do mostly from books I own (and not library books). I've actually read 122 books thus far this year, but for this challenge, I'm only counting the "50" goal as books I've read that I own.
