I've just started getting into this area of fiction. So far I've only read Fray and the Buffy season 8 volumes 1 & 2. I've marked down the Angel season 6 volume to read also.
Are there any others anyone would like to recommend?
I'll be going to the ComicCon next summer. (Haven't been to it in a few years.) And I'd like to see things with 'new eyes' so to speak.

851151 I do. I'm in the process of picking up the Buffy Omnibus'. So far I've gotten Volumes 1 & 2. I just got Buffy The Long Way Home today.

Here are some of my Favorites: X-Men, Stargate, Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter, Serenity, Birds of Prey, Doctor Who

I didn't realize Doctor Who was in graphic novels. Cool!

851151 Well I don't think the graphic novels are out yet. The comics of the new series, is fairly new. But you can buy the single issues. :)

1008175 Old stuff: "Sandman" by Neil Gaiman. If you've never read "The Crow" by J. O'Barr, you must, it's an urban fantasy standard. "Planetary" is also an interesting read, and the last issue might be out before the end of the year *sigh*. Another off-beat title is "Promethea".

Deadpool has a new series, and after the Cable/Deadpool series, I'm looking forward to the madness that will ensue. But this is absolutely only very borderline urban fantasy, if I stretch the definition to its very limits...

822432 I liked "Sandman" by Neil Gaiman and "Uzumaki", which is Japanese. You can find "Uzumaki" in the anime section of your local comic book store. Very weird set of graphic novels.

I have a weakness for steampunk, so I enjoy "Ruse" and "The League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen". Another good one is "Dawn". Since I've long been a Tomb Raider fan, I love the Lara Croft comic books.

1343977 Sandman is my favorite but I currently like...

Annihilation and Annihilation Conquest
The Killing Joke
Watchmen
V for Vendetta
Swamp Thing
Planet Hulk

1008175 Ruse was fantastic!!! I loved a lot of the Crossgen books and was absolutely devastated when they went kaput.

2291094 I'm an avid reader of the Fables series by Bill Willingham and The Runaways series by Brian K. Vaughn.

1843449 Fables is great, and Sandman is a classic. Another one to check out is Rex Mundi. It's set in the 1930s--except in an alternate history where sorcery exists and the Inquisition is still around--and it's about people searching for the Holy Grail.

279845 If you like The Dresden Files, there is a prequel called Welcome to the Jungle in graphic novel. Looks like they are also serializing Storm Front.

Dean Koontz's Frankenstein series was pretty good, and I'd second or third recommendations for Fables and Ruse. You might also like Y: The Last Man by Brian K. Vaughan.

I thought

Welcome to the Jungle (The Dresden Files) was terribly disappointing.

I recently read this graphic novel and I thought it was pretty good with decent art. I'm a Dresden File fan (but the sci-fi channel show was crap.) Its the sort of Urban fantasy I prefer, not the stuff that's just thinly disguised soft porn romance, with super natural characters.

Full of jokes about all things political and politically incorrect. Great fun, not so great art.
