From the outset this book is great. Creepy Nazis, A fortress built into the side of a Romanian hill, mysterious deaths, a force that scares the crap out of the Nazis, and a hero to fight it. This book is a stunning keep the lights on Thriller that should be read and re-read. And yes, there is a follow up, five in fact, that make up the Adversary Cycle, every one of which is great, but the ending Night World is beyond the others. Especially the recently released updated version that give the extra Layer of Horror about what happens to Abe & Gia. A word of warning though... there is a chapter in the book Reprisal about what happens to Danny that will forever give you nightmares...
