2353035 Hello all,
Texas is the site of my amazing Angel visitation, and eventually a book about these things, miracles, all happening right here in many cities in Texas.
My wake up call was in the frightening yet amazing appearance of a Holy Angel appearing to me. - right in the middle of Vista Ridge Mall in Lewisville TX, under the huge glass dome in the atrium. True Story.
I saw the heavenly Real Arch Angel of the Lord, not the stuff stories are made up about, but The Real Thing.
The Angel said, "I am Raphael. I come in the Name of the Healer. I am an Angel of David's Lord." From out of my ignorance God Himself came down from Heaven
to wake me up to Him. I am so glad God calls us each individually. Only the Lord Christ could have constructed these miraculous events, thought them up, or made them happen - in Sherman, Corpus Christi, Denton, Arlington, Lewisville, Lake Jackson, Conroe, and more.
I live in Texas and if this group would like to nominate to read and talk about "Communions With Christ" (my new book by a Christian publishing House) I will be glad to be here for all the talks -- and under the guidance of His Holy Spirit the Lord could truly bless all of us more than we may now imagine!
Happy in Jesus

1196125 I'm not the moderator, but I'll chime in. I think that the Houston group is a geographic description rather than a subject matter one. I say it's open to any subject, but that's just my opinion. I've sent a note to the assigned moderator but have not heard back. Anyone who has experience at this (Book Club Thing) feel free to take charge and show us how this works. But the sooner we get something picked and started, the more success we're likely to have with it.

820833 Definitely want/need the chocolate. Does the nominated book have to be specific to Texas or Houston?

1196125 As for a specific "activity" I would suggest we nominate some books, then pick one, then we could read and then discuss - either cyberly (?) or in proximity.

Nominations for Book 1 for the re-dedicated Houston Book Group?

And oh yes, there will be chocolate...

1196125 All, I am new to Goodreads, looking to see who among the 41 current members are is interested in getting the group active. So consider this a roll call to measure interest. All in favor?
