Anna Karenina - Funny one to put as unputdownable I know - and I did actually put it down for about 9 months after the first 100 pages. Then I picked it back up and finished it in less than a week.

Going Solo - one of my childhood favourites - I remember how engrossed I was by this book, and have reread it many times over the years, along with most of the other Roald Dahl books.

I've seen The Historian mentioned several times. I had a hard time with this book. While I did finish it, it was an effort and took forever.

Some of the books that I mentioned are great, but not my favorites. It's just that I tend to read thrillers and similar genres faster. Although, a lot of my favorites are ones that took a little bit longer to get through. Anyway in no particular order:

OK, yes, I cannot sit without something to read. I will read a 1983 Readers Digest in a Doctors waiting room, if that's all there is. Which is one of the reasons I got myself a Kindle--so I will never again be without something to read.

I have to agree with you about the Maximum Ride series. All of them were quick reads.

OK...for you Stephen King fans out there. I have found Chelsea Cain's series un-put-doneable. Starts with Heartsick, then Sweetheart, and I think there may be a third. I've read the first two. They don't have the plot intricacy or depth of Stephen King, but for a horror/thriller ride they are good. They are about a female serial killer and the cop that tries to bring her to "justice" (not a spoiler...you get this from the first chapter)and their relationship. Pretty horrific, but fascinating, if you enjoy the genre.

I love Chelsea Cain's book, and I don't read King. (King gives me nightmares.) The 3rd book Evil at Heart is out September 1. I can't wait!
