OK I think I can come up with something for most of these. I'm not starting until 8/15 because all my books are packed up. If I manage to read something that fits before then, I'll adjust my date.
Would flame/fire count as a weapon if the main character of said book can create and throw flame through magic?
If the title of the book is- Master of Surrender (Blood Sword Legacy Book 1) is it ok if the weapon is in the parenthesis? Actually, I checked the cover and it says Blood Sword Legacy in small print under Master of Surrender so I think that should be ok?

If you're having a hard time with a category, you can use the series name if it's printed on the book cover.

Well that solves my weapon thing becuase I have Master of Surrender. I think I might have Sword of Darkness in my TBR. I'll have to check. It might just be on my PBS Reminder List.

I'm not seeing city/state/country on the list. I just see architecture. Darn-I don't think I have anything with an architecture word in the title. Maybe. Does the word City itself count?
Duh I see it on the list now. I have a series of mysteries with mostly French cities in the title. Not paranormal but one will do if I need it.

Thanks girls but I've read City of Bones and Glass Houses but Sallie you reminded me about Ghost Town coming out in November, is this one good enough for the city/state/country category or does it have to be a name? If it does, I have The Merchant of Venice.
Fran, I've noticed "grave" as being popular as I was going through my unread books. I even have a couple as options for some of the categories of this challenge.

For the City/State/Country category, I had originally meant the proper name (NY, London, etc) but, after looking around for some that fit, it's slim pickins. So let's also use the actual words too--city, state & country, as well as town, land, empire, kingdom, etc.
I made the changes to the original post, and I changed the name of the City/State/Country category to "Places". :)
Now I'm off to find ideas for C/S/C, architecture & first names. :)

I love challenges where we have to go on a little scavenger hunt through our TBR to find books that fit. This one is a TITLE search challenge--it's not based on finding pictures on the cover, but finding words in the title of the book.
But instead of giving you specific words to search for, we're going to do categories. I've listed a bunch of examples, but you're not limited to those--use your imagination and find words that fit the categories.
The duration of this challenge will be one year from your start date. So whenever you decide to start, you will have one year to complete it. Please post your dates with your list.
You may use anthologies & rereads, and while most should be along the paranormal/fantasy theme, I won't smack you upside the head if you throw one or two non-paranormals in there. :)
Also, if you are having a hard time with a category, you many use the series name if it is printed on the cover of the book. Everyone can do that for up to 3 categories.
