I could be completely wrong and it makes me feel better that I'm not the only one who found it hard to tell. I must've read that section of the book four or five times trying to make up my mind about what happened to Jacky.

Didn't it break your heart when he (Jacky) said that the only children he and Molly had was a little row of stone children? Gah.

Jacky before Molly finished him off? Was it an accident, suicide, Icy, BJ or Molly? I can't figure it out.
