Your graciousness amaze me every time, Josh. :p

Btw, do you feel better? Anyway, sending a virtual herbal tea your way...

:-D

No, nobody should be watching Idol. It's the same tired old popularity contest it's always been, which means it's heavily loaded against any GLBTQ contestants (remember Adam Lambert's loss?) -- and therein lie the similarities.

(And who the hell is Julia James? Is she Bristol Palin's aunt or cousin? Heh.)

Jordan Lombard (JSLombard) | 7118 comments LOL, you guys are too funny.

Speaking of funny, I was skimming through Ghost Wore Yellow Socks today, and was reminded how much like Perry I am. That scene where Nick asks him why he didn't make the coffee? I wouldn't have made coffee because I don't drink it either, and so never learned how to make it. And I love hot chocolate. Though, I would skip the bunny marshmallows.

The virtual herbal tea reminded me of that, as I thought to myself: If I liked tea, that would look really good right about now. Why isn't it a hot chocolate instead?

*sigh*

Been craving strawberry shortcake all day... think I need to go get some dinner in me and get back to my editing I promised I would get to hours ago.

I can't stand shows like that, so I definitely don't watch them. Popularity contests are the most ridiculous things in the world.

I have to say though... after reading JCP's Magic Mansion, I'm wondering what all goes on behind the scenes of reality shows. How many people are portrayed as hating each other on screen but are totally in love and shagging each other off screen? It does make one wonder...

Yeah, and look where Adam Lambert is now. And what was the name of that early-twenties sensitive young man full of artistic ennui that won that season? Where is he now, anyway? He's not opening for Adam Lambert, that's for sure.

Sorry. Had issues with that season. But I thought Julia James was that Chicago lawyer who writes those stand-alone mainstreams with legal themes. I like her. I might be thinking of the wrong person...

You were rigth, it's her. She's in the contest with A Lot Like Love.
She writes some cool, tough, grown-up heroines, which is a pleasant change from what you usually get in m/f.

So, let's hope that next time the polls are open on a Satturday... (No shops/stores, Apple or otherwise, are open around here on Sundays .)

Picture the headlines in Monday's newspapers in case the readers of the other competing author got to know your plan: "Brawl in local computer store leaves police baffled - Apperently, dozends of female ebook-readers resorted to violence when they were denied the use of the exibited notebook-pcs... *lol*

Blind Eye doesn't take shortcuts. Which is one of many things I love about them.

That cover by Sam Dawson is so striking. I loved it the second I saw it -- and there were some great alternate choices! But then I pretty much love all BEB's covers.

One thing you definitely shouldn't skimp on is cover art. And yet so many self-pubbed authors do. Well, and you can't just blame authors because look at the number of publishers who put out awful covers too.

It just seems like of all the things that would be relatively easy to get right, covers would lead the list.
