Felicia Maisey | 2 comments Let's talk about what we know about Ireland--what are you interested in--its writers, books, history, religion, culture, food, etc.

Wendy (WendyLMeditor) | 1 comments I have never been to Ireland, but I do know it has had a very turbulent and harrowed history. And I feel this is portrayed in the writings of its authors - stark and realist, yet gentle and compassionate writing. I adore Irish writers!

Deb (debzee) I went to Ireland in September and will visit again in 2012. Ireland is a beautiful country.

Gerald | 1 comments I know that 5 of my 16 great, great, grandparents were born in Ireland (2 in County Clare, and one each in Counties Kerry, Cork, and Dublin. I also know that I've never beene to Ireland and want to go very much. That visit is very high on my "Bucket List."
I really like author Andrew M. Greeley and have read many, many of his books. I especially like the Nuala McGrail series: Irish Gold (A Nuala Anne McGrail Novel), Irish Lace (A Nuala Anne McGrail Novel), Irish Whiskey (A Nuala Anne McGrail Novel), Irish Mist (A Nuala Anne McGrail Novel), Irish Love (A Nuala Anne McGrail Novel), Irish Stew! A Nuala Anne McGrail Novel, Irish Cream A Nuala Anne McGrail Novel, Irish Crystal A Nuala Anne McGrail Novel, Irish Linen A Nuala Anne McGrail Novel, Irish Tiger A Nuala Anne McGrail Novel, Irish Tweed A Nuala Anne McGrail Novel (Nuala Anne McGrail Novels), and Irish Eyes The Dark Beginnings of Sherlock Holmes (A Nuala Anne McGrail Novel). I've read most of those and particularly enjoyed the ones set in Ireland. The one I haven't read are on my "To Read" List.
