According to GRRM, there's going to be a teaser for GoT before True Blood tonight.

I found the teaser frustratingly uninformative. I suppose that's why they call 'em teasers though, I feel well teased.i09 have an awesome picture of Sean Bean as Eddard Stark which has gotten my much more excited. http://io9.com/5562558/first-ever-traile...

Well teased, indeed. I'm embarrassed to say I got chills.

Great comment. I posted it on Finish the Book George earlier today.
This is why I usually don't start series until they're done ...... but I took the chance with George ...... {grumble} {grumble}

I've had the same rule since Game of Thrones as well and have broken it at least three times myself. Good grief.
Alan wrote: "This is why I usually don't start series until they're done ...... but I took the chance with George ...... {grumble} {grumble}"I've just finished A Feast for Crows. I read all four books in the series back to back. Compared to those that have long ago finished the available books in the series I know I shouldn't complain - BUT I'm already feeling withdrawal pains.
I think I'm going to take a break and read Kitchen Confidential by Anthony Bourdain next.
That teaser lived up the label 'teaser' more than any other I've seen in my life for a) getting me terribly excited & b) being excruciatingly short. It was certainly a 'the first one's always free...' moment.
here is a link to the teaser on HBO's site...http://www.hbo.com/game-of-thrones/about...
I guess I am going to have to add A Game of Thrones to me to read list before the series starts. I am really looking forward to this one as HBO shows are all I really watch for the most part.
Lots of information from GRM's site about casting. There is a link to Conan Stevens blog site - he is going to play Gregor Clegane. I found his blog facinating - possibly for all the wrong reasons but here is the linkhttp://www.conanstevens.com/acting-movie...
I feel the same way Royal. It would be interesting to know the forces at play. George gave a very revealing podcast interview on The Dragon Page many months ago. I just finished the last available book earlier this year. I feel really bad for those folks that hooked into the series when it first came out.Oh well - with the help of this forum I've discovered there are many ... many ... other great series out there to read.
Regards, Jim
Entertainment Weekly has posted 10 pictures from the set(s) as part of a "first look" on the series. http://www.ew.com/ew/gallery/0,,20385926...This looks AWESOME.

Can hardly wait for the tv series and the next book.
There's some really good stuff there. It's too bad we have to have wait so long before it airs. But since it looks like they have so much complete already there is hope that they'll premiere an episode (or at least a sizzle reel) at Comic-Con this year. That may help in tiding us over (or make us ravenous for more).
