currently reading Incarceron and I'm not really liking it as much as I wanted to. I thought it was going to be really, really good, but as of right now I'm a bit disappointed. I'm still wishing and hoping it would get better.
Really? It's not good? I'm looking forward to reading that because I've heard good things about the book. I haven't started on a new book yet. I just finished reading The Chronicles of Chrestomanci, Volume I: Charmed Life / The Lives of Christopher Chant and I don't know if I should start reading The Chronicles of Chrestomanci, Volume II: The Magicians of Caprona / Witch Week or if I should read another book.
I heard so many good things about it too! that's why I decided to move it up my TBR list, but I'm really disappointed in it. I probably set my standards really high, that's why I'm said it didn't meet my expectations.Read it though. Maybe I'm the minority who doesn't appreciate it. I'm not half way through it so maybe it will pick up...soon^_^
For INCARCERON, the things I've heard about it are either that it's insanely good or pretty bad. Practically nothing in between! So I'm hoping I'm on the first side, because I do love me some dystopia :DCurrently reading:

And I plan on starting on these fast-like!
AMY: ACK! you love Kingdom Keepers too? I love that series. Although I have to admit the first one was a lot better than the second, but I still love it to bits! I can't wait for the third to come out tomorrow ^_^. I heard he's making two more after that. Have you read his Peter series?
@Chachic: I hope so! I'm about 80 pages in and it's pretty good so far! Hoping it gets a little more action-y though :D@Bluemoon: YES! I love his Peter series to bits and pieces as well but I luuurve Kingdom Keepers a little more!! :D It's so cool how it takes place in Disney...best. thing. EVER. (= Especially when the places I've been are described in the book! Here in the US the book came out last week and I already got it...it's lying on my desk TEMPTING ME...but I have self control and I shall finish what I'm currently reading first. I will. *peeks at book* OK I WILL :)
YAY!! I hope he does! They are so awesome. The first book really was better, even though I liked the setting of the second one better! (Animal Kingdom :D)
AMY: It's been awhile since I went to Disney and it was the one in Cali not Florida, but I'm in love with his Kingdom Keepers series *sigh*. I have the second book of the Peter series, but never gotten around to reading it. Is it okey if I read the second book rather than the first or will I be totally lost?I can't believe you guys already have the third installment! So totally unfair! I can't wait to get a hold of it. Waiting in anticipation like I was with the Reckoning. Have you finished it yet? did you like it?
Hm, well the second book is a different adventure but there are several key events and main characters from the first book that are repeatedly referenced in the second, so it might be a better idea to read the first book, well, first! :D You'd enjoy it a lot more as such!Tehehehehe. I assume you live in Canada, right? (b/c of the Chapters loving :D) It comes out tomorrow there! So not too far away! I've been to the Florida one once every year for the last four years, so it's a thrill reading them. Though I always wish that the books came out during summer so I could take them along with me and READ them while I'm actually in the Disney parks! Unfortunately that hasn't happened yet, haha (=
And omgomgomg The Reckoning- I AM ON THE LAST 80 PAGES OR SO. =O It's so very very GOOOOOD...best one out of the trilogy I think, and I'm going to be so heartbroken and sad when it's over. Thank GOOOOOOOOOODNESS Kelley is writing another trilogy, and Chloe & co. will appear in it! :D Now I must stop trolling around Goodreads and get to finishing! Hehe.
CHACHIC: have you read it too?AMY: You can always wait to read them. So when your in the Disney parks you can also read the book. hehehe...but then, when I'm there I usually don't read books.
Thanks for letting me know about the Peter series. I think I'll read the first one first so that I'll get what they're talking about.
The last few pages are best and you'll see in the end she's actually building up for maybe a fourth? or a continuation? I can't wait for her next one to come out ^_^
Bluemoon, which one? If you mean The Blue Sword, then yes I've read it and it's one of my favorites.
Nope, I haven't started on it! My friend gave me a copy of the first book and I'll get around to reading it this month so I can join the discussion. :)
No prob! I'll get around to it soon enough. I haven't started on a new book yet so maybe I can read that first. Hmm...
I'm currently reading UGLIES by Scott Westerfeld. It got so much good reviews and I hope that it would not disappoint me. So far so good, it's one of those futuristic novel and I'm currently on the third chapter. The statement at the front of the book really made me picked it up.UGLIES: In a world of extreme beauty, anyone normal is ugly.
Yes, there's gonna be a fourth book! But it's focusing on a different project (Icarus or Phoenix or something, I remember reading it in the book). Kelley posted some stuff about it already. Here's what she's said-"The next book is The Gathering. Same world. New characters. New Edison Group experiment. The Gathering starts trilogy #2, Darkness Rising. While my plot line shows Chloe and the others being introduced late in that trilogy, that is NOT a guarantee until the whole thing is written."
And there's already a goodreads page for it :D

Plus there's already a blurb (of sorts) for it.
The Gathering
"Maya lives in a small medical-research town on Vancouver Island. How small? You can’t find it on the map. It has less than two-hundred people, and her school has only sixty-eight students—for every grade from kindergarten to twelve.
Now, strange things are happening in this claustrophobic town, and Maya's determined to get to the bottom of them. First, the captain of the swim team drowns mysteriously in the middle of a calm lake. A year later, mountain lions start appearing around Maya's home, and they won’t go away. Her best friend, Daniel, starts getting negative vibes from certain people and things. It doesn't help that the new bad boy in town, Rafe, has a dangerous secret—and he's interested in one special part of Maya's anatomy: Her paw-print birthmark."
I got that from here: http://www.facebook.com/topic.php?uid...
Such useful things Twitter has. I found this stuff from following Kelley, tehe.
I haven't read the Uglies series so let me know if it's any good! I think I'm more interested in the Midnighters series though.
Yes it seems like I'm more drawn to the Midnighters series. I don't know why I think it's the name ^_^
I have read Secret Hour(Midnighters Book 1) and it was awesome. I dare say that its better than the Uglies series.Currently Reading: Lord Loss(The Demonata Bk. 1)
Lord Loss
I just finished The Reckoning...and holy wow that was bloody amazing. I need the fourth book now...oh gosh woowowowowow. I loved it. I'm sad now. No more Chloe & gang :( Until the fourth book, that is! :D But still, that was a killer of an ending!
I'm going to start reading The Summoning because it's this group's monthly read! Good thing I haven't started on any other book.
AMY: YES! see what I mean how waiting for next spring for The Gathering will totally kill me! I'll probably hyperventilate the day before it comes out...hehehehe....
I've just finished The Gates by John Conolly and it was great. Now, I'm starting the Maximum Ride series by James Patterson. So far so good :)Anyone read that series?
I read the first one and Ang is right! It's really good. I love how James Patterson writes, so no complaints here. I also read his Women's Murder Club series and that too is really good. Which book are you reading now?
Heidi, let us know what you think about the Gregor books! I read the Georgia Nicolson series when I was a lot younger so I don't remember a lot about it but I recall that they were really funny. I haven't read the other books mentioned but I will check them out!
I read the Gregor books when I was in elementary and I loved them! They're awesome and it's nice to read Suzanne Collin's work aside from the Hunger Games stuff :)
Just picked up INCARCERON from the library today. Need to finish reading Gone, then I'm hopping for a better reading experience than Bluemoon. I was so excited, but now not as much.
Brittany, let us know what you think of Incarceron. My friend sent me that book as well as Sapphique but it'll take a couple of weeks to get here so I won't be able to read it until next month. I was really excited to read it too.

I'm on book one of the series. Picked it up on Sunday at the library. :)
hehehe...delete my comment on the other thread. I forgot your in the Maximum Ride series. I'm pretty sure you'll like it!
Bluemoon wrote: "hehehe...delete my comment on the other thread. I forgot your in the Maximum Ride series. I'm pretty sure you'll like it!"hehe it's ok ;)
I'm liking it very much so far, I love the fast pace.
Exactly! Two-page chapters rock! It's a great "on-the-go" book. It's gonna be awesome during commute on the train hehe.

Will do. I am almost done with Gregor and it is very good so far. But, like Percy Jackson was for me, it seems like it is meant for a younger crowd ( I am old). Hunger Games is more an "any age" book than Gregor - at least to me. But, if you liked Percy, you will def. like this one. p.s. I did not know it was a whole series - I have 4 more to go!
