Nophoto-f-25x33 This book gives incredible insight into the start of
Al-Qaeda and what they hope to achieve, Each of the key players in the terrorist world is presented so we can begin to put the pieces of the puzzle together. It is the best book I have read giving me insight into their terrible hatred for Americans.

Lawrence Wright gives his readers a better understanding of the impossible situation of Al Qaeda's motives and plans. For one thing, most of the main players in Al Qaeda have no real country of their own. Bin Ladin and Zawahiri are not able to return to their countries of birth. These men, in their own minds, think they must take drastic action to protect themselves and become recognized internationally.

All of the men of Al Qaeda are in denial about the Islam religion. They stretch the limits with each terrorist crime they commit.

935042 I just finished Looming Tower and am wondering if Steve Coll's Ghost Wars would cover the same material or would it be different enough to warrant the considerable time commitment (500+ pages). I appreciate any feedback--Mike
