My name is Dov, I am an american, and I live in Har Nof, in Jerusalem. I was hoping we can get to know each other through this website. I like sci fi, Fantasy and Action/Thriller. does any know of any good book stores here. I know of Sefer v Sfel off Ben Yehuda/Yaffo and Dani's off Yaffo. any other ideas take a look at my book shelf and let me know if You have any recomadations.
Hi Dov my name is Avigail and I lieve in Modi'in. Well there is this English second hand bookstore in the internet, but it's base is in Israel. http://www.beverlysbooks.co.il/ that is the site the prices are preety good and I buy preety much a lot of books from there. If you buy more than 4 or 5 books they send the books free by mail.

Hi, Dov! There are several good bookstores in Jerusalem. I can recommend The Book Gallery and also Intellect Books. And if you visit Tel-Aviv, there is Halper's Books.
Ok! To those of you whom intended to meet up on Feb 2nd, Well I didn't realise but I was hoping for at least 5 members to meet in Modiin and seeing as today another person joined us I have decided to arrange the Meet up for anotther date, perhaps after Purim ? So Would be happy to meet you I was hoping the event would take place at a venue or place in Modiin suited for all!
In Jerusalem there are also the two stores in Binyan Klal, but the Book Gallery seems to have the best selection.There is also Danni Books. Their "new" bookstore is on Yaffo {and one of those side streets leading to Aggrippas up from King George} and their "used" store is on that side street. Sorry I forgot the name. They have by far the best selection, but a little pricey.
BTW, I live in the Shomron {looking for an apt. in Jerusalem}, and like Sci-Fi, Fantasy, as well as British, 18th to early 20th cent. lit., and some American lit.
