2361637 I've got 1 episode to watch, and i'm going to pay more attention and see/ hear.

message 277: by Roxy (new)

1130679 Lori said: "...but they do it out in public where anyone can hear."

I had not noticed other people calling him Jim but I see what you are saying.

message 276: by Lori (new)

2361637 Yeah i get all that but it seems to me that the town is calling him Jim as well. And in private alls good but they do it out in public where anyone can hear.

message 275: by Roxy (new)

1130679 THe new body's name was Sam. I with you, Lori. Now I really don't see why they "kill off Jim" other then for the ratings. I originally thought they'd bring him back and he'd have some sort of gift or powers to but nope, he's back to normal. Eligh (sp), Delia and Delia's son all know that Sam is really Jim so they all call him Jim. Everyone else in the town beleives him to be Sam because he still looks like Sam. Does that help?

message 274: by Lori (new)

2361637 Haven't watched it yet. But my bitch with the show right now is JIM. I like David Conrad as her husband, but when he died, and jumped into that other body it was confusion for awhile. Now that they merged the two it's easier for us, the audience to watch. Now here's my beef, wasn't the new body's name Brian, or Ryan, or something like that. Seems to me everyone is calling him Jim. Just because he looks like Jim to us shouldn't he look, and have this other body's name for everyone in this town? Please help me out here!

message 273: by Roxy (new)

1130679 I like to see what she wears because she wears stuff from (or relating too) all sorts of eras but a lot of the time I think she is dress almost inappropriately. theres times she dressed in a low cut long but sexy dress one would wear to a cocktail party but she is just going to work and running errands. Strange

I just watch last weeks (?) episode, the one with the cop and his daughter. I really did NOT like the way Jim immediately jumped to the idea of the cop sabataging Melinda and her car. It was really uncalled for...just because he was mad with Melinda when she basicallly came to watch his traffic stop with Eligh (sp). Her standing there was wildly inappropriate and Jim "haveing been a parametic and knowing cops" should have know enough to tell her not to go over there.

622853 The stripper part of the story didn't bother me this week... it felt like it should be there and it was just a little bit of the episode. I do think she dresses weird sometimes but she's much better than she was when the show first started!! LOL

message 271: by Lori (new)

2361637 Yeah you got that right! I was hooked from the very first episode all the way to the last. I'm glad she does movies because we still get to see her. Also that David B. has Bones. Watched Angel from start to finish too. That man is FINE!

I watched last Friday's episode this morning, and that first dress she had on SUCKED! And that other white dress was bad. She looked awesome in her black nightie, and the pole was cool. I don't think it was bad at all, it was kind of short. And yes "JIM" does need a hair cut.

message 270: by Jackie (new)

1660443 Buffy! No matter what SMG stars in, she'll always be Buffy to me, LOL

message 269: by Lori (new)

2361637 I didn't watch POF, but i did watch I Know What You Did Last Summer. And i've always thuoght she was a dollbaby. My girl Sarah M. Gellar was in IKWYDLS, that's where she met her husband Freddie Prinze JR. Shes another babydoll.

message 268: by Jackie (last edited Nov 11, 2009 03:13PM) (new)

1660443 I think she's amazing and I adore her. I loved her when she was on Party of Five. There was one scene where her boyfriend (played by Scott Wolf) says some cruel things to her and made her cry; to this day I can't stand him, LOL
I couldn't believe it when people we calling her fat. How do they figure that? Actually, she looks like a real woman; she's normal and healthy looking. Not emaciated like the rest of Hollywood actresses.

message 267: by Roxy (new)

1130679 Wow. I would never have known there is that much of an age difference in them. But I'm not sure if David looks young or JLH looks older.

Speaking of the Jim character....whats with his hair this season? He needs a cut. He just doesn't have the hair to do a shaggy look.

message 266: by Lori (new)

2361637 I hate it when some jackass talks trash about her. I mean just how can they? She's talented, beautiful, young, has her own cash supply, produces her own show, what can they find fault with? Did you know that David Conrad aka Jim is 12 years older then her? He is fine to look at & i never would have believed it if i had not been looking up something on Jennifer. He was born in August 1967 & she was born in February 1979. Who would have thought it? :)

message 265: by Jackie (new)

1660443 She is very beautiful.

message 264: by Lori (new)

2361637 OMG her boobs are kind of big.(but i got my share of 3 women all over LOL) I'd like to see her in something that flatters her all the way around. It's not like they don't have the money for cloths, like us poor people. Oh and lay off the dark ass liner on her eyes. I think she's pretty already with out all that crap!

message 263: by Jackie (new)

1660443 Agreed. She wears unflattering clothes. She needs to minimize her butt and accentuate those giant boobs, LOL

message 262: by Lori (new)

2361637 She isn't fat! But she does wear some of the ugliest cloths, & some of them make her look frumpy.

message 261: by Jackie (new)

1660443 She's not fat, end of story. Is she that insecure? I pity her then.

message 260: by Roxy (new)

1130679 She did do a bikini shoot for some magazine just for that purpose. Wouldn't put it past her. I watch the show but am really not a fan of hers.

message 259: by Kelley (new)

1066863 LOL. I was thinking that maybe Jennifer Love Hewitt wanted to prove those people wrong that were calling her fat. She wanted show off her hot body on the stripper pole.

message 258: by Roxy (new)

1130679 I forgot, I missed the last few seconds. I saw the university President sit down next to his mom but my recording cut off there.

message 257: by Jackie (last edited Nov 09, 2009 02:31PM) (new)

1660443 I think every show I watch has done it's stripper thing at some time. It's pathetic, they must feel that their shows aren't good enough to draw people in. Don't come for the good story, come for the T & A. Ridiculous.

message 256: by Roxy (new)

1130679 This weeks stripper episode SO felt like a sweeps month stunt. Blah.

message 255: by Holli (new)

622853 I also love Gary Unmarried... he's hilarious!!

message 254: by Lori (new)

2361637 I love his new show, it's called Gary Unmarried. IMO it's vary funny. :)

message 253: by Jackie (new)

1660443 He got a new show, that's why he left. Don't know the name of it but it's still on the air.

message 252: by Lori (new)

2361637 I was looking up Jay Mohr & it stated somthing about him getting a divorce, and that's why he left GW. But not sure on all the details, didn't get to read it all.

message 251: by Jackie (last edited Nov 04, 2009 12:29PM) (new)

1660443 I'm not thrilled with the kid or Eli either. Jay Mohr really fit well into the show.

message 250: by Lori (new)

2361637 Not to sound ugly but i don't think she should have had a kid. With all the stuff she & her husband do they don't really have time for a kid.

She could have adopted a kid already up in age. Maybe around 10 to 13. The kid could have the same thing as Aidan & in an orphanage because he/she lost their parents due to a car wreck. Then Malinda could talk to the kid in a much better way. But that's alot of COULD OF HAVES.

I'm not all that thrilled with Eli, he's ok but he's no Rick Payne.(i love Jay Mohr) It's going to have to do something soon or i'm going to end up dropping it. And i've watched from the beginning. Just not all that happy with the kid thing. :(

message 249: by Jackie (new)

1660443 I'm with Roxy on this, they should have jumped forward to he was 10 or so.

message 248: by Roxy (new)

1130679 I think they should have just start when the kid was a bit older. 5 is too young and playing the kid as a mature 5 just isn't working.

message 247: by Roxy (new)

1130679 I'm not liking the kid because he's supposed to be 5 and acts more like he's 7. There is no childness/playfulness to him. I agree with Faith, not sure if that is was way they are writing him or if it is the actor. Very stiff.

They have told him all about ghosts, you have to give them that credit but at the same point he is only 5. Its hard to remember it with this actor/way the wrote him but that is still very young. By that age they have can have a good grip on understanding their own feelings or still be struggling with it so to try and explain to a 5 year old that what he is feeling my not be his own feelings.......real complicated.

message 246: by Jackie (last edited Nov 02, 2009 02:11PM) (new)

1660443 I'm in agreement with you Faith on all counts.

I think they make Aidan like that to show how different he is. It doesn't work for me, but it's the only reason I can come up with.

message 245: by Faith (new)

652801 I still don't have any emotional investment in the kid. I can't figure out if it's because he is a bad actor or if they are doing it on purpose. In the halloween episode, melinda is all holding him and hugging him after the horse drawn carriage thing happened and the kid didn't even put his arms around her. he just looked off into space like he always does. his head didn't even linger towards melindas. he looked stiff as a board.

I still stand by my decision that she should be talking to her son more. melinda's grandmother never underestimated melinda and was always truthful with her. i just don't understand why melinda runs herself ragged about her son when she could just talk to him about it. why does she need the psychologist guy, (sorry i am having name blocks!!!!) to talk to the kid. all she had to do is ask him to describe the light people, how do they make you feel, what do they talk about, etc etc....i am guessing the one light person that told aiden? not to use the word hate is melindas grandmother.

message 244: by Lori (new)

2361637 I just watched last weeks episode. It was pretty good, not much of Delia to be seen. :)

message 243: by Jackie (new)

1660443 I like the Tarot idea. Delia has been better lately but she's not endearing to me. I like Ned much better.

message 242: by Lori (new)

2361637 Yeah Delia can assimilate all she wants, & i'll still not be a big fan of hers. I never cared for her when she was on The Practice. She's ok, just not in my favorite list.

And it would be way cool to have a tarot card reader!

message 241: by Holli (new)

622853 I haven't seen Delia be anything but supportive and helpful regarding Melinda's gift for a while now. I know she was weird about it at first but most people would be in real life I would think. I think they integrated her belief in her gifts pretty realistically for a TV show.

message 240: by Heather L (new)

Nophoto-f-25x33 Ooo...a tarot reader could add quite an interesting twist at times, couldn't she?

message 239: by Lori (new)

2361637 It would be nice if Melinda got a new helper, someone we liked & understood her gifts. Like a Psychic or a Tarot card reader, something like that. I think as the show goes on we'll get more used to the kid. At least i hope so!

message 238: by Roxy (new)

1130679 LOL! Wow, Holli I planning on posting that exact comment about Chad & Rob Lowe. They never reminded me of each other before but watching GW i kept thinking "wow, he's reminding me more of his bro not that he is older" and it was all mannerisms.

message 237: by Jackie (new)

1660443 Very much so! I haven't seen Chad in a long time, but a look on his face, his voice, I knew he was Rob's brother right away.

message 236: by Holli (new)

622853 Good to see Chad Lowe on this episode, I've always liked him! Its so funny how siblings carry the same mannerisms... you can tell with the Lowes and with the Baldwins...

message 235: by Jackie (new)

1660443 Ex-bad-boys make good husbands, it's the current bad boys who don't, LOL

message 234: by Holli (new)

622853 Sounds like we have the same thing going right now Jackie! LOL

message 233: by Jackie (new)

1660443 Nice, Holly, having exactly the amount you want. What is it about bad boys that make us want them, even though we know they will cause us nothing but trouble. I'm happily married now so I can say I'm not attracted to bad boys anymore, but if I weren't married, I know I'd find the baddest boy around. Isn't the definition of insanity doing the same things over again expecting different results? LOL
My husband is a great guy, and he used to be a bad boy before I knew him. It's funny because I don't want him as the bad boy. Maybe because I want to keep him, LOL

message 232: by Holli (new)

622853 It only dwindles to nothing if you let it though... relationships take work by both people to stay fresh and good like that...... :) I wouldn't want super romance all the time just cause it would get old after awhile. I think just a little every day which is what I have now.... its just right.

message 231: by Roxy (new)

1130679 Nope. Never met one that romantic. Its probably better to not date the man that is that romantic. We all know that once the relationship gets going the romance dies off. I think most women don't want romance all the time but we don't want it gone completely. I'd be real upset in a relationship that started with emense romance and grand jestures that eventually dwinddled to nothing.

message 230: by Holli (new)

622853 LOL, I have. He was a keeper but I let him go. I was still in my bad boy stage unfortunately! ;)

message 229: by Jackie (new)

1660443 Maybe he's a ghost, because I sure as hell never met a romantic guy like that, LOL

Let's take a poll:

Have any of you ladies ever met a man that romantic?
If yes, I want details, LOL
