Leigha (Shiny_Mae) | 10 comments I can't stop with adding books to my to read list, nor can I stop asking for recommendations. At this rate, I'll keep adding books and never actually sit down and read any.

In any case, I have a thing about zombies. I'm thinking of something with a Resident Evil feeling to it. Zombies, world ending, uninfected fighting back, so on and so forth.

I could just search "zombie novels" and see what comes up, but I thought I might have more luck finding good novels by asking around instead of just searching blindly.

Anyone read anything like this? Or is this better off as a movie or video game? Maybe this sort of theme doesn't go over well in book form?

Karen Duff (Karenofthebookworm) it's not just you,my to be read pile is always growing.
as for the zombies you could try Patient Zero: A Joe Ledger Novel by Jonathan Maberry. like resident evil the zombies are created by infection. i think the best way to describe it is zombie terrorism

Leigha (Shiny_Mae) | 10 comments I'm glad to know I'm not the only one. I don't think my list will ever be all the way read, because I keep adding book after book. Once I add one, I see three more I like, and so on.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll look into it!

Kasia The Forest of Hands and Teeth by Carrie Ryan (drama, romance, suspense, treachery, murder, blood, love and lots of scary zombies) ****

The Dead-Tossed Waves by Carrie Ryan (sequel to The Forest of Hands and Teeth and I liked it even better than the first one) *****

Necroscope by Brian Lumley (this one gave me creeps, but it was also intriguing and a litte old school if you don't mind that) ***

Boneshaker by Cherie Priest (if you like steampunk, it was very readable and well crafted, but I personally wasn't that into the story) ***

Guilty Pleasures (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter, #1) by Laurell K. Hamilton (it's got vampires too and zombies arent the main focus, but there are zombies and it's a great series. However around book 6 the series starts being very romance & sex driven, and zombies are being marginalized, so you might want to stop there. Or not.)
