It's something I enjoy doing, so it doesn't really seem like I'm working out the way it does when I run.

I do the same sometimes while cleaning!
I think I've accomplished my goal of finding a workout/diet regimen that works for me! It didn't happen until I went back to school, but I've been eating healthier and smaller portions and drinking more water. And I've been spending an hour a few times a week dancing and singing around my living room. I'm sure the people living below me love it! But I'm seeing results and that's what matters to me.
Katie, you've got plenty of time to get those things done. Take your time with those and enjoy it all...rest up too!! I can't wait to hear about your new little one soon :)
Courtney, I do actually keep a true handle on my overall health from dental, to mental, to physical (heart and diabetes included) and I am very proud of myself for making that a priority for the last five years. Its an important thing to do--put yourself first---and I like knowing I do that. I hope you all try to do one thing every day that's just for you and only for you, you deserve it!!
My goals for this Summer were:"My goal for this coming Summer is to get the basement cleaned out/purged and 'organized.' (And attempt (again) to get my sister-in-law & bro-in-law to get their crap out of our basement too. It's been 3 years already!) AND look outside of NJ for a place to live and for Hubby to work. If I can have these done before Autumn, I'll be very happy.
Other things I'd like to accomplish: Continue exercising, finish the spare room re-do, keep writing and reading, find ways for Hubby & I to spend time away from the apt complex when we don't have anything scheduled here (he's the on site manager)."
~The basement is partially purged and organized thanks to sis -in-law (it is her stuff after all) but she's yet to come up and get the things she's kept out of there and now her son's stuff is in the basement too (which I had to clean out of the spare room because he has neglected to come get his crap since he moved out of our place in spring - don't ever get me started!). Now that the temps and humidity are cool & comfy, Hubby and I are going to work on the rest of the basement after Labor Day. (1/2 check)
~We've yet to find a place to live and for Hubby to work outside of NJ (we're stuck for now with this economy and Hubby having been laid off in July). (no check)
~We have now have a weekend/vacation place to go away to about an hour and a half north of here, up in the mountains. (check)
~Spare room re-do is well under way though not finished. (half check)
~I haven't begun to exercise again because of some health complications which seem to be resolving, albeit very slowly. (no check)
~I have kept writing and reading, which I thought I put on my list up there but apparently only on the one in my journal! (check, check)
It will all come together Katie! Just have fun with it. Just read on the other discussion that you are due Oct 2nd; I bet you can't wait and you don't have much longer!
Um, no. LOLThe nursery is definitely a priority. We have all of the stuff we need and most of it's organized (because that's what I love to do), but my husband still has to finish staining the dresser/changing table and we need to get the furniture arranged, sheets on the crib, art on the wall and all the other non-essentials taken care of.
Seriously, Hol: Your overall health is based on everything from dental health to mental health and you obviously work hard to keep yourself in peak condition. I am sure with all you have been challenged by it would be easy to let one or the other thing slide, but instead you are obviously an inspiration to us all!My 20 something pile of TBR is ridiculous and ready to topple over tower by tower like dominos at this point. I'm (barely) reading one of my fave authors right now, because when I'm in writing mode I have to take advantage of the energy. The books will wait until we're ready for them!
Peace and love,
C xo
I'm feeling great! Getting down to crunch time and we're both really excited to meet the little one.
Thanks so much Debbie! I really needed to do that for my health and I'm proud of myself for sticking to my health plan and helping myself.
Thanks you two. It truly does feel great to be able fit into my old clothes I thought were goingto hang in the closet forever and also to be able to have energy and stamina again. I love it :)
How are you feeling Katie?
That's great Holli! Keeping up on your health is very important. (I fell off the bandwagon this spring & need to get back on). The books & photo's will wait for you to settle in your new abode!
Well, my photos never got touched and the stack of 27 books grew to 46 books but I'm slowly working through them. I did establish an exercise routine and I've still kept off my 10 pounds I needed to lose and I've lost another five. I feel wonderful!!!

Jo, it sounds like you're in "take no prisoners" mode and GOOD for YOU! Don't let the bastards get you down, and kill them will kindness! Peace, C.
Lol, between my family and especially hubby's after the last 5 plus years, that's my new stance when their bs starts invading my life: kick butt & kick it right back out! They can mess their own lives up - don't need to be messing up mine/ours. No room for that junk! lol
Well, yes. We had a relative experience ourselves this year. We, too, will kick butt and never let it happen again. It almost made me loony for good! So yeah, I feel ya.
Well, the spare room is finally under way! Nephew J's stuff is out today. Not thrilled with the mess he left and his stuff STINKS - expected so much better from him. We're probably going to have to take a ride down to Philly and track him down. He broke the cell phone we bought for him and put him on our account and has yet to apparently go to a Sprint store to get a new one (we have ins on all the phones) so we're paying for a frickin line he hasn't used for 3 months! Nor has he made any attempt to start paying him the $ we loaned him this past Fall which he was supposed to start doing by the end of this January. We wouldn't mind if he kept in touch like we told him to and he promised and got his crap out of our spare room like he promised. He's doing what Uncle Vic explicitly told him NOT to do which is drop off the face of the earth & ignore us. Not cool Nephew. Not cool at all. (Sorry for the venting there).
when the men in our family become particularly manlike, you know, using up all of the space, bellowing, playing nerf bow and arrow games in the house, stringing wires all of the living room while setting up surround sound, the women in the house nod to each other and whisper, "Man is in the forest" a la Bambi. It helps take the edge off a little!
Moving is always stressful, even when there aren't kinks & it's a good thing to do. I'm realizing part of my problem has not only been adjusting to Vic being home, but the weather is also making me sick and when I feel this crappy, I'm all out of sorts. Beefing up my vitamins, green tea, V8 juice, yogurt & water and hopefully I'll be feeling better in a few days. (I can't take antibiotics anymore unless it's a serious illness - they're too much for my body to handle now & my doctors and I agreed I need to be careful with them so I have options if I do become seriously ill).

Thanks Rosemary!
Thank You Katie, it is just something I love to do, if I'm not reading then I'm crocheting.
Jo; I just copied the HTML code from my photobucket acct. and put it in the comment box and there the picture is.
Mandy Sue, you don't have to have a baby, I made all kinds of things.
Kathleen, Skydiving sounds great! I'd love to do that, too, so let me know how it goes when and if it ever stops raining there!
My summer goals...
Pay off some bills and save some money...*I'm working 80 hours a week and have no clue where my money is going.*
Relax a bit and catch a tan. *I don't know what i was thinking with that goal. Relax???? and how can I catch a tan?? My state has been non stop rain! We actually made a record. It's rained the most this summer here EVER!!! What does the sun look like?
And my last goal which I am determined to actually see through!! Is to go skydiving!!! That is if it ever stops raining. :0)
Ann ~ That is beautiful!! You should set up an Etsy account. If mine were still babies I would definitely want one!!
Ann, it's wonderful! How did you post the pic to here?!Debbie, I'm excited for you and I hope things go smoothly! I know it can be a little overwhelming.

I just saw this post. I am absolutely like this. I can't sit still. I am better at being on vacation in a big city. The beach is nice but not for too long.
Tera wrote: "My summer goals are to 1) crochet 3 scarves for my 3 best friends. 2) start scrapping again 3) paint my house.
Nothing too thrilling but IF I get those things done by summers end Ill be happy."
I love to crochet, I finished this baby blanket for a friends new grandbaby. Now I'm starting one for my new grandbaby.
