That book was one of my favorites in the series. The main character is hot, and it opens the door for the entire Dark-Hunter series.

1488662 i just finished On the Prowl (Includes Monère Children of the Moon, #4; Alpha & Omega Prequel; World of the Lupi, #3.5; Dorina Basarab Prequel)Another Faust they both got 2 stars from me and for Another Faust, that was being generous! The only thing I liked about Another Faust (YA book) is that the life lesson is a good one--pretty much: you don't get something for nothing.

Maybe you will still find it ... Hope you do. I would be upset too, but don't beat yourself over it. Maybe whoever got it for you can see if they can reissue it for you. I don't know it Chapters keeps records of who they sell gift card to. Good Luck!

2344224 Thanks girls. I really wanted something special for the week I'm away. Damn it's so hard to choose. Audrey I have a soft spot for the midnight Breed series so it might win out and maybe a couple of the others will too.

On a sad, sad note I've spent the last 2 days looking for a Chapters gift card I received for x-mas. I can't find it anywhere. I think the recycling man took it away. In fact I'm pretty sure I threw out the equivalent of 3 books. Oh God... WHAT HAVE I DONE!

I wanted to ask my GR shister's opinion on what I should bring on my vacation next week. Here are my options

The HostNightlife (Cal Leandros, #1)Three Days to Dead (Dreg City, #1)Shades of Midnight (Midnight Breed, #7)Poison Study (Study, #1)

I will miss you guys. *tears streaming down face*

message 4913: by Danielle "The Book Huntress" (last edited 1 day ago, 10:08AM) (new)

1570669 Actually, I've had more than one copy of most of the BDB books, but I give them away to a needy person (needy for some Brothers in their life). I do have two copies of Lover Awakened. I will probably get a paperback copy of Lover Avenged. Please don't encourage my book fetish, Amanda. LOL!

Michelle, I am loving the different werewolf stories in Wolfsbane. I can't get enough werewolf in my life. :)

You mean you don't have mulitple copies of some books??

I like to collect first editions of Jude Deveraux's early romance novels. The late 80's and very early 90's yielded some awesome covers.

1570669 Michelle, I have only read Dead After Dark and another short story, but they were much better. Sookie was very one dimensional and I hated the premise of this story.

message 4909: by Michelle M. (new)

355739 I didn't like that Sookie story either. I thought it was somewhat out of character.

I had the same problem with that book. I still plan to give it another shot, but I had the hardest time getting into it. I developed a bit of an obsession with the city Carcassonne after doing a paper on a William Faulkner story called Carcassonne in college and that prompted me to buy the book.

I'm currently finishing up some audiobooks that I started but had to put aside to finish my December challenge reads. Almost done with Born of Night (The League, #1) and Morrigan's Cross (Circle trilogy #1), and about half way through Dark Guardian (Carpathians, #9).

I read the first book of the series by Lara Adrian and just didnt like it. Definately dont like the fact that only males are "vampires/aliens"...and the characters didnot have much substance.

Yeah, it’s illegal and punishable by law in Canada not to read the entire BDB series. I’m not sure about the US but I think the UK carries out the death penalty.
