What are you reading right now?

I've read all 3 of the series' you mentioned and loved them all. The Lynsay Sands and Kresley Cole seem to have more humorous romance in them. It kinda depends on the mood you're in! I think I would suggest Kresley Cole... she has strong, witty women heroines and some hot guys vying for their attentions!

I have to agree, it was a great book.

Eek! Um, ..."
I made it through the book. Can't say I'll pick up the next one in the series but I'll read a summary on the author's website and see if it sounds better to me than this one. I gave this book 2 stars.
I started both
and
this week. Need started off kind of boring and it was hard to get into because of all the dialogue and inner monologue and no description. But then I kept reading and it got really interesting. There's these glimpses that something isn't quite right with the town and the teenagers in it. I'm really curious to find out what's actually going on. And I have a fear of looking out windows when it's dark out, I think someone will be out there looking back in! So, there's been parts where this book has creeped me out!
I'm reading Going Bovine at work and it's really funny but I haven't gotten far yet. I'm hoping things pick up for Cameron though because his life pretty much sucks and it'll get depressing to read about if things don't change soon.
I just finished
. It was pretty good. I like Graham, but the actual plot wasn't as entertaining as the previous books in the series. I just started
. I have been looking forward to reading about Niol.

Oh, Nita, Niol's book was good. Just make sure you're not reading it in public. You'll be blushing, LOL.
I just finished
Deeper by Megan Hart. How do I feel about the book? I'm not sure... I keep asking myself, what was the point?
Currently reading Mr. Darcy, Vampyre...it's definitely an interesting read. So far it's kept my interest and stayed true enough to the characters without me having to scratch my head - however, I hope some sort of understanding or something happens soon...
I just finished THE HOST today, what a very intelligent creative book. I tried reading Sherilyn Kenyon's first book Fantasy Lover and the cringe factor was just too much for me, it was like watching a bad movie where you put the pillow upto your face through sheer embarassment. The writing was poor and amateurish. I did read all of it though, and have been told they do get better, although I read the second dark hunter and was equally not impressed. The Host alteast is a book that requires some intelligence, I highly recommend it and I kind of mourned its loss when i had finished it. I am going to read The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Seterfield next.

I loved The Host. It was much better than her Twilight Series, IMHO, and I was thrilled to learn they are making a movie out of the book. Which I hope is done better than Twilight was.
I started
last night. I love that Nykyrian is already thinking with his cock on page 29 (Kenyon's words, not mine!) Lol. It's great because I was looking to read something dirty. ; )
I just picked up Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead... not quite sure the plot etc.. as i just got it today... Oh and seeing i just found out im a huge paranormal romance fan, as well as urban and dark fantasy... if you have any recomendations that would be great.
I found tempted quite painful! There just doesn't seem to be anywhere else she can go with this series and there are still another 3 books i think! You really warm to Stark by the end though.

Stick with it, it's a brilliant series and one of my favorites from the YA genre, hands down. (Other YA recommendations include Rachel Caine's Morganville Vampires, Kelley Armstrong's Dark Powers, Cassandra Clare's Mortal Instruments and Holly Black's Modern Faerie Tales - I see you already have Melissa Marr's stuff).

I was thinking the same thing!
Right now, I'm reading "Shadowlight" by Lynn Viehl. It took a while for me to get into her prior series, but once I was in, I was hooked. But I'm having the same problem I had with the Darkyn series. There are too many darned characters! I've only read the first 7% (Kindle user, here) and already I'm having a hard time figuring out what characters are important.
This was a problem before, but I adjusted to the madness that is Lynn Viehl.

Emma, I finished The Host just a couple of days before you. It was soooo good. I can't believe I waited so long to read it. I was sad to see it end.

Which series, Louise?
I started
the other night but I couldn't get into it. So I picked up
instead. I'm really enjoying this one.
I'm reading Jeaniene Frost's Destined for an Early Grave. Started it last night and couldn't put it down. Very good book so far.
Stinkerbell (AKA UniquelyMoi) wrote: "Which series, Louise?..."
Not Louise, obviously, but I believe she was referring to Tempted, the latest House of Night book which is, by many accounts, crap. I haven't read my copy yet.

Thanks, Dark Heart. I thought that might be it, but people have been posting about another books called Tempted, so I wasn't sure.

I immediately picked up that Alex and Michael were the main couple and so on, maybe because I've been reading in the genre a while or maybe because I take my time reading, who knows.

I guess the problem with my experience was that I jumped in the middle of the series and started from there.
I think another big problem is that I just finished the Darkhunter series by SK, and that was a 13 book ordeal. I was so used to the characters. :( And then I picked up Shadowlight the moment I finished Bad Moon Rising and was like, "Whats this?! I don't know these people!"
Sad, I know. But that's the life of a book addict.
But I'm reading more and Shadowlight, and I'm getting used to Lynn Viehl's writing style again.

I LOVED this book. I fell totally in love not only with Vishous, but with the whole Brotherhood group.

I can't wait to go home and read :) I had trouble getting into Lover Revealed for some reason, It was alright, but not one of my favorites.

i get what you mean it took me ages to read i found it quite boring the worst one in this series, they are just dragging it out for far too long. you are so right about stark i already loved him from when he first came in the series but in this book he is so much better and i love him even more if that was even possible
Started Stray last night. I kept putting this one off but someone wants it as a swap so I had to pick it up. It's interesting but Faythe's father is really getting in my nerves.

really Barbsis? Most people found Faythe to get on their nerves

Or Marc...
I love them all though. It's one of my favorite series.
Marc is definitely overbearing in Stray, but I love him. Of course, I think Jace is fabulous as well...
