Marci (marci__) | 32 comments The cover of this book was black, with a blue alligator on it. The alligator was a tribal type sketch. I think the setting was down South somewhere, and the main character was a black girl. I want to say this is historical fiction, because there was a lot of racial tension in the book (I think?), but I'm not sure if it was historical or contemporary.

I think there was a scene towards the end where the white boy decides not to kill her, as well.
