I walk her out bareback now! It's soo much fun! I actually think her trot is more comcfortable bareback than her walk! LoL
no it would be hard to just ride bareback, but bareback is fun, i would suggest walking on bareback your first time and maybe a slow trot and then as u bareback more often then you could try cantering.
Yeah. I'll try on Alfie, this white Arabian I'm leasing. He has a lpretty sway back, but hey, There's another lady at my barn, who ONLY rides bare back! MAN! I couldn't do it.
Sad! Yeah, I can't bareback ride, I would probably fall off at even a trot on bareback. Jumping high looks hard, and if you fall it would hurt probably
I own one horse. I have to sell her, becuase she's a show horse and I need a farm horse (she's a great horse but too dangerous to keep around the farm, can't have a spooking horse). Sucks, I'm telling you. I can't say I ride english or western cuz I haven't used a saddle in almost 2 years. I ride bareback, its much more of a challenge and twice as fun. My tack was western at one time. Cortney- I'm terrified of jumping and my mare never does. I prefer broncs and am scared to death of rearers. I miss a good canter.
sure! I wish I could own a horse though, I'm not the best rider in the world, but I can canter, and do a really really low jump, that horses can regularly step over.
Oh me too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! really really bad! super bad! lol!! I would have to pay with my own money too!!!! would you like to be friends cortney?
Yeah, I can't own one right now because I have to pay with my own money, and my family doesn't live on a ranch, so I have to pay for it, but I want one so bad.
hi everybody! i love horses! but sad because i can`t own a horse........ my dad hates horses and i live where i can`t own one!! I am really glad you have this group!!!
Oh guys, I am totally with you there. It is costly to own a horse, you definitely have to be realistic about what you have budgeted for it, before you go out and buy one. I don't own my own horse and never have, but I have leased horses in the past and ridden long enough that I know what is involved price wise. I am sure some people on the board here can give you a good idea about what the basics costs are Cortney.I am 34 today and haven't given up my dream of one day having my own horse.
Trine
I have always wanted to own a horse, but my mom says it cost a lot. How much does it cost a year to own one?? I was thinking of getting one when I'm older, but I don't have much saved up yet.
