1066863 The clips they showed on the future episodes look really exciting. I can't wait to see Lucifer and Cas go at it. There is something interesting about how Lucifer captures Cas--in a ring of fire using holy oil. Now, if Cas is and angel, why would holy oil capture him? Or maybe you meant to say that Cas captures Lucifer that way? That would make more sense to me. Holy oil shouldn't affect an angel of God, but it would affect a demon.

message 402: by Holli (new)

622853 Nope, that's what it said. Here it is word for word from the TV Guide:

Castiel, angel of the Lord, will come face to face with you-know-who. "I'm on a very important recon mission in Missouri when Lucifer captures and integrates me by trapping me in a burning ring of fire using holy oil," says Misha Collins. "Its our first head to head."

message 403: by Kelley (new)

1066863 That's interesting. I can't wait to see what happens. Thanks for printing it in full.

message 404: by Pam (new)

Nophoto-f-25x33 hmmm... maybe this goes back to our theories on who brought Cas back... maybe it wasn't God & that's why holy oil would work. Thoughts?

message 405: by Jackie (new)

1660443 If not God, then who? Lucy? Why would he do it?

message 406: by Holli (new)

622853 Maybe it works because he doesn't have all of his powers anymore?

message 407: by Kelley (new)

1066863 Pam, I do think there is something strange about the way Cas was brought back and I am not convinced that God brought him back or maybe God brought him back and he isn't really Cas, but someone else? Where is the archangel Michael btw? That's a mystery.
I am a writer so I think of the twist to the story and I think there is a twist involving Cas. I could be wrong, but that's where I stand right now.
The whole thing with the holy water trapping an angel makes me skeptical so I can't wait to see that episode.

1130679 phew. All caught up. I missed SN for a few weeks so I had to catch up and was not following the board. Caught up now!

After watching the past few weeks within a few days I just have to say how much I love the randome humor they throw in the middle of our dark little show!
Cas & the orgy
House of Wax reference, which I beleive Paris was in too, right?
Hairy palms?! Oh my god, I was laughing so hard and then about fell out of my chair when Sam with the most serious of face with the childish belief to it says "you know you could go blind from it too!" I love this show!!

message 409: by Roxy (new)

1130679 PS - Cas trapped in a ring of fire. Think they'll be any Johnny Cash references? ;-)

message 410: by Lori (new)

2361637 I've watched the firs 3 and so far so great. I can't wait till i get to the Paris episodes.

message 411: by Pam (new)

Nophoto-f-25x33 No Cas last night? It was reminiscent of 2 seasons ago, just two brothers getting the bad guy :) I enjoyed this episode, but seeing the preview for next week... well it should be hilarious!

message 412: by Roxy (new)

1130679 Old Dean was funny!!! Actor was very Clint Eastwood-esk. And I am glad they had an actor to play old Dean rather then age Jensen.

message 413: by Kelley (new)

1066863 Yeah, Chad Everette did an awesome job playing 'old' Dean. I liked when the young housekeeper said he reminded her of her grandpa.

message 414: by Myra (new)

1374822 I always liked Chad Everett, and thought he had Dean down cold! Bobby sure couldn't handle Old Dean's moaning and complaining! It was good to have Bobby back in the story for more than just a phone call.

message 415: by Roxy (new)

1130679 Can't blame Bobby. Dean was complaining about being old within minutes!

message 416: by Jackie (new)

1660443 Excellent casting.

message 417: by Pam (new)

Nophoto-f-25x33 I wonder if they'd aged Dean if he'd still be as hot??? :)

1374822 Saw this in an article on msnbc.com. Here's the link to the article about shows you don't want to miss and what it says about Supernatural.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/33589892/ns/...

"Supernatural": Look for Sam and Dean to show up in parodies of "CSI," "Grey’s Anatomy," a Japanese game show, and a sitcom, in a Thursday episode entitled “Changing Channels.” One thing about the show this season: the more out-there stuff it attempts, the more fun Supernatural becomes.

message 419: by Kelley (new)

1066863 I do like when they add in some fun episodes that still stay within the realm of what the show is all about. There are some good writers working on Supernatural.

message 420: by Roxy (new)

1130679 I LOVED last nights "tv" episode. It was hysterical! I about fell off my chair when they spoofed Knight Rider!!

message 421: by Allen (new)

623239 Well its been a long time since I came in this thread.

Anyway, last nights episode convinced me to give up on Grey's. I've had this seasons stuff siting in my DL folder, but deleted all. Just not worth the time.

Next weeks episode looks good too. The writers are on a big spook kick, 3 eps in a row.

message 422: by Myra (new)

1374822 Poor Cas. Did he have a complete line during the entire episode?

message 423: by Lori (new)

2361637 Allen you do realize this is the Supernatural thread right? Because i don't understand what your talking about. How can SN make you give up on Grey's? Not that you need a reason Grey's sucks.

message 424: by Allen (new)

623239 Because of the parody.

message 425: by Kelley (new)

1066863 That hospital parody was about Grey's, wasn't it? I never watched a Grey's episode, but I still know about the Dr. McDreamy's and all of that. Paging Dr. McSexy--so funny.
The holy oil and fire trapped Gabriel. I'm not an expert on angels, but if they leave Heaven are they still angels?

message 426: by Allen (last edited 25 days ago, 05:13PM) (new)

623239 Yeah, and the part about the ghost guy was even funnier because it was the same actor(on grey's) who played their dad. Dean's little synopsis and the incessant slapping are what pushed me over the edge, I had been debating it for awhile as I still have shitloads of other stuff to watch.

message 427: by Holli (new)

622853 I loved this episode, thought it was hilarious!! I about died when they did Knight Rider and Dean said "we kinda pulled it out of Sam's ass".... loved it.

I thought about our discussion previously about how they could trap Lucifer in a ring of holy oil... now we've seen it happen to Gabriel.... so maybe they can do it......

message 428: by Jackie (new)

1660443 Yes, Lucifer is an angel, a fallen angel, but still an angel.

Loved the episode, laughed so much, then it heavy real quick. Interesting what Gabriel said about the brother's and how they mirror Michael and Lucifer. Can't argue the logic there.

message 429: by Lori (new)

2361637 I'm going to have to play catch up pretty soon. I have 5 episodes i haven't watched. I call it my SN night. :)

message 430: by Pam (new)

Nophoto-f-25x33 This last episode was SO funny! Jared & Jensen must have a blast. Jackie, I think you are right about Luci & the holy oil.

message 431: by Pam (new)

Nophoto-f-25x33 So what did everyone think of last night's episodoe?

message 432: by Roxy (new)

1130679 It was "AWEsome!" LOL I loved it!! I literally laughed out loud so many times I had a rewind a few times to hear what I missed!

message 433: by Myra (new)

1374822 Haven't watched it yet. I'll get to it this weekend! I'll let you know what I think after I watch!

message 434: by Lori (new)

2361637 I watched episodes from 09/21, 10/01, & 10/08 today. They were all awesome! Especially that last one, Sam cut off Paris Hilton's head. Pretty funny Dean geting his ass beat by PH. I love this show!

message 435: by Kelley (new)

1066863 Pam wrote: "So what did everyone think of last night's episodoe?"

I loved it! That's what I call clever writing. Episodes like that keep the show fresh.

message 436: by Holli (new)

622853 Loved this past week's episode!!! SOOO funny!!!

message 437: by Myra (new)

1374822 Watched it Sunday night and really enjoyed it. I loved the two guys who helped them. And it was great to see the fan girl again. Only disappointment was No Cas!

message 438: by Jackie (last edited 8 days ago, 07:23AM) (new)

1660443 That was the saddest episode I ever saw on Supernatural. It was upsetting, but it was the only way I could see it going. When Jo wanted to stay, I knew Ellen would never leave her alone like that. My husband said it made no sense, but as a mother, it made perfect sense to me. Men, they don't get it.

January 21st til the next episode. ARHHH! What am I gonna do until then?

message 439: by Holli (new)

622853 It made perfect sense to me too. And it was sad Jackie.... I agree.......

message 440: by Jackie (new)

1660443 Even with the bad things, it's not ever that sad. It's gotten pretty heavy. The rest of the season will be incredible!

message 441: by Kelley (new)

1066863 That was sad, but there has to be sacrifices when fighting Lucifer. If not, the show would be silly. It reminds me of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. There were funny episodes and then there were the dark ones.

message 442: by Lori (new)

2361637 What the hell do you mean January 21st?

message 443: by Jackie (new)

1660443 It said 'All new episodes starting January 21st'. Most everything stops around Thanksgiving and comes back in January so there'll be nothing but sappy Xmas programs on from now until then. I've already saved a bunch of movies to watch during this dead air time.
Even knowing it was coming, I still felt a stab in my heart when it said the above dreaded words!

message 444: by Holli (new)

622853 Jackie, seems like a long time huh? In a way I'm kinda looking forward to the break so i can watch some movies in my Blockbuster Queue! LOL

message 445: by Jackie (new)

1660443 I still like having new eps run in a row. I have a habit of forgetting what happened previously if it's more than a week, LOL
I used to watch a lot of movies during the summer months, but now what we have summer-series, it's limits the movie time. We just can't win, LOL

message 446: by Roxy (new)

1130679 Jackie said: "When the Jo wanted to stay, I knew Ellen would never leave her alone like that. My husband said it made no sense..."
[nodding in motherly agreement:] made perfect sense to me too.
I was bummed because I was hoping to see the end include some old friends showing up to help in the final battle days.

message 447: by Jackie (last edited 8 days ago, 07:26AM) (new)

1660443 I too expected Ellen and Jo to be in the final showdown, but this way is more realistic. I'd imagine there'd be a lot of casualities/fatalities in fighting Lucifer.
If they had to go, at least they went out in a big 'hunter' way.

message 448: by Lori (new)

2361637 I was going to play catch up this week end, but we're going with a friend to Florida for Thanksgiving, and won't be back till Sunday. Guess i'll still have more than enough time. January 21st is what 5 or 6 weeks away?

message 449: by Jackie (new)

1660443 How nice! Given the choice between catch up or Florida, I'd take Florida anytime! You'll have plenty of time when you get back. Have fun and tell the sun I said Hello and I'm looking forward to his return in April, LOL

message 450: by Lori (new)

2361637 Just for you Jackie! The last time we went to Florida the bugs almost ate me alive, a spider bit my honey and he got sick, it was like food poisoning, stayed like that for about 4 days. Said i wasn't going back there, now look at me. Know what they say? Never say never. LOL
