Just wondering what you guys thought of this show.

Personally, I love it. Most of the time horror on TV is weak and generally poor. This show is the exception to the rule. It's a great show with a plot that's easy to follow and really throws in some genuine scares the likes of which I haven't seen since the "X-Files".

If you're not a fan, or haven't watched it before, check it out. You might be suprised!

I haven't watched this, though I want to. Is it the type of show you can start watching without having seen it from the beginning?

I love it. A very worthy successor to Buffy and Angel.

I liked it when I saw it a while ago..didn't realize it was still on. :) I'll have to check it out.

So far I've only seen season 1 since that's all I was able to get at the library. I really enjoyed it though. I like the different supernatural creatures from various cultures & myths that they bring into it. I also like the Car. :)

A friend bought me season 1 for my birthday & I bought myself season 2 yesterday online. So I'm going to re-watch season 1 whilst waiting for season 2 to get here. :)

I'd say you need to watch it from the beginning. Some episodes are pretty self-contained, but the bulk of them are not.

Ok, I just finished watching season 2.

Best. Show. Ever.

Supernatural is great.....the plot is very believeable, the writing is excellent (I laugh out loud several times every episode), and the "brothers" have awesome chemistry!! The fact that they have become great friends really shows through in their acting. I have never seen a show like this that didn't seem completely stupid so this one is very refreshing. I have watched from the beginning and will continue to do so!

i love supernatural! i have watched it from the beginning. it has gotten better each season! dean is my favorite! i love his music! i watched "dean" the actor in dark angel and then in smallville. so i loved seeing him in his own show that keeps growing in fan base!

Dean's my favorite too. I'd never seen Jensen Ackles in anything before, so wasn't sure what to expect, but he's actually a VERY good actor. I was pleasantly surprised. One of these days I'll watch some of his older stuff.

I love the music on the show too, it's a lot of stuff I grew up with since my Mom loves classic rock. I may not know all the words, but I still know the songs, you know?

Can't wait for season 4 to start.

Do any of you watch Prison Break?? The 2 brothers on there could be brothers with the ones on Supernatural. What's up with the hot brothers on TV lately? LOL I love Jensen Ackles....I think he's great. We notice him in alot of things now that he has been on this show. What do you think about him going to hell??

I really need to get this show from Netflix. Hubby and I like it but never get to see it because it was always opposite something else. I was really upset when I caught an episode from this season and heard the "dean's gonna bite-it" story line. He's too d@mn hot to kill off!!
Don't tell me what happened this season.....want to watch the whole thing.

you really should watch dark angel. you would love it if you love supernatural. dark angel has jessica alba in it and jensen ackles. ackels comes in more in the second season.

i have to admit i really thought that dean was going to get out of having to go to hell. how do you think they are going to get him out? and do you think that they will leave him in there for too long?

Faith~~~SPOILER ALERT~~~~~I read in TV Guide recently in an interview with the Supernatural's creators that said " everyone expected Dean to be saved in the end. That's exactly why he had to go to Hell-to defy viewer expectations. How Dean gets out of hell becomes the primary concern for Season 4. He'll spend a long time there and he emerges to a different landscapr. A lot has changed since he's been away, and he'll have to readjustto his lved ones. His relationship with Sam will be massively affected. We don't feel that Dean is going to be a demon but there will be an ongoing mystery. Just what happened to Dean in Hell? He has little recollection. Slowly but surely we'll unfold that story." :)

I did watch his very first episode of Dark Angel & I actually liked the show itself, so I'm just waiting for my request for season 1 to be filled at the library. :)

you will love the series! i was really upset when they cancelled it. the end isn't really an ending but it could be. the show actually was told they were going for another year and then on the last night they told them they weren't. but if you like to read once you are done with all the series. they have some books that continue the story and let you in on what happens to max.

Did anyone see the episode with the trickster? where sam had to see dean die over and over and over again? did anyone completly understand what the trickster meant at the end? i understood how the trickster was trying to get sam to see that no matter what he did that dean was going to die. but i don't think i got the full meaning.

I did see the Trickster episode and I got that Dean was going to die no matter what Sam did. I didn't want to believe it but I figured that's what the writers would do. I was still so sad when he died though!! That stupid little girl!! She was just plain freaky.....how sad for that family in the finale huh?

oh that family! that was so sad! demon vacations are not happy! how do you look at your daughter without the fear that she is that thing you lived with and watched kill your mom and your dad and your cat. even though you know the demon thing that was in her is gone how do you ever see your childs face of innocence and love her. i felt so bad for that family. it was a pretty twisted episode.

so the girl i forget her name. the one that was helping sam, witch in her human life, what do you think happened to her? because lilith was in the body that she was in. and form the episodes we know the human girl body is dead, yet ever time we see a soul banished to hell the body will then die to and we've never seen another soul/demon enter a dead body. so did lilith send the demon/witch/girl(why can't i remember her name!) back to hell or somewhere else, or is she still trapped in that house in the circle?

Her name is Ruby.....I believe......right?? LOL I couldn't remember Lilith's name earlier :) I'm guessing she's back in hell. Because she got out of the circle to come help them in the house......their dad's friend let her out.....shit what's his name now? Bobby! Bobby let her out to come help them at the house Lilith was at so I think Ruby went back to hell.

but ruby was no longer ruby. lilith had taken over ruby's body. that is how lilith got dean. she acted like she was ruby until she got them in the room and then she let the demon dogs in and pinned sam to the wall.

I know but she was Ruby when she first got to the house.........right?? So when Lilith possessed her after Ruby was already at the house to help them she went back to hell then......or is that all wrong? LOL

hmmm. not sure. i thought that ruby was ruby from the gate. when dean talked about how ugly she was. cuz he could see demons now. and then he said in the room "i should have known it was you but you all look the same to me."
but now that you say it i don't know. now i am conflicted. i still wonder about ruby though either way. how does one demon cast another demon in hell and take over her/his host body.
and why do men demons possess men and woman demons possess woman. why does it matter?

I'm guessing a demon that's more powerful than most can cast out another demon and take over its host body if she wants. They did say Lilith was the most powerful one didn't they??

good point! but like ruby said they were all human once. so i think that is where the gender lands. i am thinking that ruby will be the one who helps dean get out of hell and his dad. not sure how? i really like the ruby character. i love watching hot chicks kick butt! which is why i loved alias so much! ruby was sarcastic, raw, hot, and she could rumble with anybody! i hope they keep her character in the show!

So the premier was pretty sweet. Not too sure about angels tho...

Premier was awesome!! I've so missed this show :) I'm really liking the angel aspect. This season is gonna be good!!

Finally, finally, FINE-ALLY....how many season of thunders from down under. No one ever mentions lightening from above. I only caught bits and pieces of last season but when I heard Dean made a deal I kept wondering....what aobu the higher powers? Are they going to let all Dean & Sam's work go un-recognized?

I thought the same thing Roxy...been waiting for them to start bringin in the angels and such!!! YAY!!!

Get this....I don't know much about angels so i am not sure what this means but I read in a Supernatural recap that Castiel is the Angel of Thursday. Hee hee....gotta love the SN writers.

i really think he is an angel. mainly because of how scared the other demons are of him and how powerful he is that he pulled dean from the very clutches of hell and how the other demon said it was the beginning of the end....or it is satan himself. i think he would be the only one with the power to do all that.

i want him to be an angel of light though. technically satan is an angel he is just an angel of darkness a fallen angel.

but mainly the angels eyes, that is when i guessed he was an angel, they were so kind and full of love. and how he is immune to all the safe guards and devices of every religion that they had to fight against demons.

it was a great start to the season! but i don't think i will watch any of the other shows just before i go to bed again. i have to say i had some seriously weird dreams that night!

Now whats going on with Sam....he mentioned he survived the Hell Dog attach because he seemed "immune" and it shocked him and What's-her-face. Whats the deal with that?

And what about the "new Ruby". I thinked the other Ruby better....better actress.

I really liked the old Ruby better!! Sam has powers that were beginning to develop and then he lost them halfway thru the last season. Since he came back from the dead he's been a little different...able to do things....see things.....but it comes and goes. Apparently he's able to control it now and its stronger. That's why Satan and the demons wanted him on their side..... I'm hoping he starts fighting for Castiel and that he helps Sam develop his powers.

I'm really wanting Castiel to be an angel and not any sort of demon. I think this is an aspect that was ready to be explored on this show. I'm excited about it :) When Dean's ears kept bleeding I knew it was an angel or something Godlike. Their voices and real selves are not supposed to be heard or viewed by humans because our minds can't comprehend them.

sam can send demons back to hell just with his mind. in the last episode of last season he sarted to expel lilith when she left the "ruby" body.

personally i don't have a problem with the new "ruby"...i just have to get used to hearing her through another body.

Castiel IS the Angel of Thursday. The Supernatural writers didn't make him up. I did a little Google search and came up with this site that lists all the angels.

Why is Dean already hiding angel-visits from Sam? I find that SO frustrating.

You crack me up Roxy!! I don't know why he keeps hiding the visits but what I reallyw ant to know is why did Ruby tell Sam to be careful of the angels.... wink wink! I think she knows that Sam has a little demon in him now since he died....what do you all think?

I am wondering if Sam will confront Ruby on the fact that she is possesing someone still?

I still have to watch season 3 so I can't really comment on that.

New Supernatural is airing as we speak, DVRing it so I can skip the commercials later. Though can I say, get ready this is a little non-PC, kudos to CW for NOT caring the Presidetial-whatever-the-heck that everyone else is airing.

woah. Just watched this weeks episode. Sooo gooood. I love the fact mom & her family were the original hunters. Bet the boys are going to be pissed dad never mentioned that before! And I'm a dork because I totally digged the fact that grandparents were Samula & Deana. Sam is sooooo going to ride Dean about being named after a woman.
