THINK THE PENNEY SHOULD STAY BECAUSE IT EVENS OUT YOUR PAYMENT TO THE CASHEIR AND ITS PRETTY AND SHINY. ITS COPPER AND THERE AREN'T ANY OTHER COINS MADE OF COPPER SO IT SHOULD STAY. ALSO IT HAS ABRAHAM LINCOLN ON IT AND ONE OF THE WAYS WE ACKNOWLEDGE HIM IS ON OUR CURRENCY. IF WE GOT RID OF THE PENNEY, THAT WOULD BE STRIPPING HIM OF HIS AUTHORITY AND HE WAS AN IMPORTANT PERSON IN HISTORY, SO THE PENNEY SHOULD STAY.

1015309 The penny isn't the only currency with Abraham Lincoln on there! There's still the $5.00 bill. So we aren't "removing" him from America. And Lincoln will never be forgotten by the United States. The best reason to get rid of the penny is because it costs 2 cents to make a penny (and the face value of a penny is 1 cent).

1405101 Actually it costs 1.26 cents to make one, not 2 whole cents.
