171430 It looks fine to me, and GoogleBooks and WorldCat have it listed. What's the problem?

171430 Done. And the revived item has had the not-a-book treatment.

171430 The dumpbin item is actually no longer listed on Amazon, so the deletion was permanent. Don't think that's really a problem, since I was planning to tag it "not a book" anyway.

The other one I deleted. The same user seems to have added a lot of these "new books."

186853 The Devil Wears Prada This is a book that has no identifying information and should be deleted (must be done by super-user

834216 It's not a book. It's a cardboard display device for holding books (24 copies in this specific case). (There are well over 1000 of these in the GoodReads database, growing daily, because Amazon insists on categorizing them and somehow they have been given ISBN numbers; some people collect them, I guess).

The reviews/ratings should be transfered to an actual book and this object should be marked as something other than a book. I suggested deleting as the easiest way to transfer the reviews; it will show up in GoodReads again because it's on Amazon, but hopefully no one will add it back to their shelf before we can mark it as something other than a book.

If you can transfer the reviews without deleting it, we can add something like "Not a book" to the title and replace the author name with "not a book" as well(since in fact, the object in question was not written by anyone, not being an actual book).

1 Merged the two books in message 1.

The one in message two looks legit though - it has an ISBN and the source is Amazon.

834216 Another one:

A dumpbin for Kitchen Confidential with 17 users which should be deleted (so the reviews/ratings merge).

834216 A few books which could use some superuser editing:

A version of Whiteout by Ken Follett with no information distinguishing it from the other 25 editions, but with 47 ratings/reviews.

All Marian Keyes novels -- This one was mentioned before; I believe the policy is generally not to allow this, but at least 11 people have added this to their shelf so it will take a SU if it is to be removed.
