Thoughts, comments, feedback are all welcome! Also, I need one more idea. Help, please! In no particular order:
Olive Kitteridge A Novel in Stories
The Art of Racing in the Rain
Stoner
Netherland
The Housekeeper and the Professor A Novel
Revolutionary Road
That Old Cape Magic
The White Tiger
Shadow Country
Unaccustomed Earth Stories
The Lacuna A Novel
And, since there's peer pressure (just kidding- I'm looking forward to reading it with those interested):
Possession A Romance
There. 12. Done. Until I change my mind ;)
This is a great list. I have a lot of these on my TBR list. I have The White Tiger on my TBR list too. Would you care to read it together?
Randi
Randi, that would be superb; thank you for offering. I'm committed to reading Wolf Hall just after the first of the year with the small group doing that. What time frame would work for you for White Tiger?
Amalia- I really hate to be discouraging. But I read Netherland, and I really enjoyed about the first fifty pages, he's a great writer. After that, I struggled to keep my interest in it. The main plot seems to be, essentially, about real estate.I just finished That Old Cape Magic, it's not Russo's best, but it's not bad.
On the upside I really love Jhumpa Lahiri, he offered weakly.
(After all that publicly raining on your parade, I'll shut up now.)
Hi Amalia. Great list. I'm going to be reading Olive Kitteridge too. We'll have to compare notes. I love reading everyone's lists.
Marbear
Nathaniel and Mary, thanks for the comments. And Nathaniel- I asked for feedback, you gave it. Assuming I keep Netherland on the list, it will be interesting to see if I agree with your assessment.
Still need one more and I feel like putting Wolf Hall on here would be cheating since I already have it scheduled for January :)

Oh dang. I think another club of mine is planning on reading it (Netherland). It sounds so interesting too.
Amalia, if you do read it, let me know how you like it!
I've had two people mention Art of Racing in the Rain to me in the last 3 days- both of them telling me how much they've enjoyed it, neither of them knowing it's on my 2010 list.
Miss GP wrote: "I've been told that's a fantastic book, but I can't bring myself to read it."You've piqued my curiosity (as well as Jill's)!
Suffice it to say that I don't read animal books unless I know with 100% certainty that nothing bad happens them. As I've said before, go ahead, blow away as many people as you want, young, old, male, female... I don't care. Just don't hurt the dog!!! Same reason I won't read Marley & Me.
Ah, good to know- and perfectly logical as someone who is pathologically fond of my dog and two cats.
Amalia a lot of us seem to have POSSESION down to read,I think there is a comment about a side read somewhere on Miss GPs Challenge.
I just got more good feedback from friends I seem to share book sense with about Olive Kitteredge and Art of Racing in the Rain.Is it January 1 yet? I'm ready to start!
