2404802 Donna, would you please explain how this works??? I have not tried one of these challenges yet!!?

message 3: by Donna, The Pusher (new)

1334924 Well this one is just to read a book with each letter of the alphabest. The, A, doesn't count. See above.

Some people even do the Last Name of the Author i.e.: I- Irving, John (any novel of his would count)

Does this make sense? I am not good at explaingin things LOL

message 4: by Suzanne (new)

2404802 Yes, perfect sense! Thank you ... Is this part of 'Everyone's Choice' or are we just individually choosing?

message 5: by Donna, The Pusher (new)

1334924 Do as you please. I am sure mine will change as we go but I am just stating what I am hopeful for! By all means create one of your own liking (you can even read some of what I am planning on so we can chat abuot it later X-D)

message 6: by Donna, The Pusher (new)

1334924 I am going to try to do it in order but can't make any guarentees LOL

2404802 Deal!!!Yay!

message 9: by Donna, The Pusher (new)

1334924 Well for H books I just brought 3:

The Hotel New Hamphire
High Fidelity
The Heart of the Matter

I like how we are reading some of the same books! I am going to try to read them in order but I doubt that would happen LOL

1289966 Thanks for the ideas!I'll be looking into those. :) Yeah, I love the fact that we have similar books. While it would be fun to read them in order, I'm not going to make it. I have a few series-type books in my list, and I can't read them out of order... that just won't fly. However, let me know when you read ones that I have - I'll probably be able to swing it and read it with ya! :)

1334924 It will start in jan

message 12: by Jenni (new)

1289966 Yeah, I made this one to start in January. I figure that by then I'll be done with Shantaram, Pillars of the Earth,

message 13: by Jenni (new)

1289966 Yeah, I made this one to start in January. I figure that by then I'll be done with Shantaram, Pillars of the Earth, Oliver Twist, and hopefully a couple of other books. :) Shantaram is almost done... probably 25% left to go! I'm hoping to start Oliver this weekend. Yay!

1334924 I switched my I and K and I might actually read The Host because someone let me borrow it a long time ago and I think I should give it back LOL.

message 15: by Shelley (new)

Nophoto-f-25x33 Donna- The Host is really hard to get into.... I almost put it down many time... The first half of the book needs to be half of what it is and the last half needs to stay the same. It is an interesting concept if you can push to get into it.

message 16: by Donna, The Pusher (new)

1334924 I opened it at one point and got about 10 pages in and then put it down but I would like to make an attempt again.

message 17: by Jenni (new)

1289966 I started listening to the audio book of it, but couldn't make it past the first 15 minutes... the narrator was just so slooow and annoying. :)

message 18: by Donna, The Pusher (new)

1334924 OK maybe I won't LOL

message 19: by Jenni (new)

1289966 Okay, so I'm thinking of The Help for my H book, in addition to the three H books that Donna listed.

Also, Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet A Novel is a great H book. If you're doing the challenge, it might be an alternative to The Host. :)

message 20: by Donna, The Pusher (new)

1334924 This may be kinda hard in 2011 simply because of X and Z books LOL. We have to just consider any book that has a Z or an X in it (ie: World WEar Z or American History X)
